  • Work great offroading in a Prius!
Size: 205/65R15
I've had these on my 2017 Prius Prime for 6 months now, and they are performing well and holding up well. I went slightly oversized to gain a little ground clearance, and a lot of load capacity (10 load index numbers above the stock tires that came on the car). I use winter tires year-round in all climates from New Hampshire in winter, to Arizona in summer. I took these far offroad in Nevada, both on dirt roads, rocky trails, and off trail through washes while getting scratched by bushes and crawling over rocks. No problems. Time will tell whether they last 60K miles like the Michelin X-Ice3 tires I had for my previous two sets of tires on the car. So far, so good. I run them at 50psi for added ground clearance, for improved pothole damage resistance, and for improved mpg, which is indistinguishable from the stock tires, which were nowhere near as tough as these. For a regular car, these are a good approximation of an offroad tire, and the old rule that snow tires don't last long, simply is no longer true. ... show more

  • So much better than all-season tires
Size: 225/60R18
We live in Wisconsin and have had all-season tires on our vehicles for all our lives. My wife started a new job which entailed a longer commute so I started looking into the added safety of snow tires. First I found an exact same set of used rims on E-bay, then found these tires. A local shop mounted the tires and rims. These highly rated tires were a great deal compared to anything local and even other tires snow tires on other web sites. My wife is impressed with the traction and security of driving through the snow and surprised how much better these are, even in freezing rain. She loves them! ... show more

  • Nice tires
Size: 235/45R18
These seem nice and were what I needed won’t know how they go in snow until winter

  • VERY VERY Good In All Weathers & At A Great Price
Size: 205/65R16
I put these on a 2016 Hyundai Sonata about a month before the wintry weather arrived, replacing the worn out Hankook Kinergy tires that were OEM when I bought it. I was careful as I'd had snow tires before & driving in the rain could be a problem with poor traction. I did not have studs fitted as local winter conditions very rarely warrant them. These tires were NO PROBLEM in the rain, or in the dry & in snow & slush they were simply amazing. The only real difference I could tell between the Altimax & the Kinergy was a slight increase in road noise & a definite hit on my fuel economy of around 2mpg worse. Otherwise they rode just as well & gripped just as well as the Kinergys &, like I said, in snow & ice they were jaw droppingly good. My Front Wheel Drive Sonata was able to navigate roads that 4WD & AWD cars spun out & got stuck. Snow conditions ranged from fresh powder, compacted powder, hard wet snow, melting slush & occasional patches of black ice. My wife's AWD Subaru (running on Michelin All Season tires) couldn't even get out of our driveway, but my Sonata with the Altimax Arctics had no problem. Despite not having studs fitted I didn't even have any problems with black ice, they did slip & Traction Control/ABS did activate but careful driving kept the vehicle under perfect control when others were sliding all over the place. After 1200 miles they show no sign of excessive wear so there's no real feedback yet on how they'll last. However I only foresee 2-3000 miles use per season so I am confident they'll last 10 years before they HAVE to be replaced due to their age. I would definitely buy these again. ... show more

  • Great traction
Size: 225/60R17
We drive through all the snow and never have an issue. We live in a valley and drive out every day, no matter the weather. They dig through the snow and get us to work every day. They handle nice and don’t make road noise. Love them.

  • Very good stopping ability
Size: 215/55R17
Put these on my Saturn Aura this year as my first set of snow tires. And while I don't have enough experience with snow tires of other brands and types what I can say for certain is that compared to even the best All Season tires I have owned, these are night and day difference in the snow. The stopping distance alone is DRASTICALLY reduced. While I'm absolutely positive there are better snow tires with better performance on every category I can say with confidence that even as the cheapest snow tires I was able to find, they do have a measurable improvement in the winter. On the point of noise, I'm not sure if my car is simply louder than others even at highway speeds of 70-80mph I don't notice extra noise. As for comfort I do find they are much bouncier than my all season tires. But the ability to handle the weather is more important than a few extra bumps for me. ... show more

  • Great tires
Size: 205/60R16
Great winter performance. I put them on my Volkswagen Jetta and it performs excellent in the snow with lower road noise than other winter tires I have run.

  • Tires work in the snow, but not the best.
Size: 205/55R16
Price was good, they work better than a all season tire, don't know how fast they will wear as I just put them on the car.
