I had previously bought a different model Pelonis heater several years ago (it's an older version of this one), and although it is still working great, I wanted to have another one just in case. I have bought a few different brand of heaters over the last few years, but I ended up sending all of the back because none of them could compare to the one I already had. I received this heater right before the first snow storm came in, and I am thrilled that I had it. We have a large entryway that is facing directly North with 25ft ceilings and lots of windows. Unfortunately, there are no vents in this area, so any extreme weather (heat or cold) makes a huge difference in the rest of the house. I used this new heater in the entryway, set it at what our central heater is set on (72°), but within about 5-6 hours I realized quickly that I needed to actually decrease the the temperature because it was too much! Lol! The temperature outside was approximately 20° F, dropping severely and quickly. I was able to set the temp of the heater to 65°, it kept the entryway (as well as the attached rooms) warm, and it kept our central heater from running all of the time. Our lowest temps reached -5° (-25° with the windchill), and this heater was never set above 65°, yet kept the area and beyond really warm. The instructions say that the heater will go up to 95°, but I can't imagine ever needing to use it near that. This heater has performed perfectly for the last 2+ weeks that the country has been experiencing the unusual and extreme cold weather. I am beyond impressed, as well as very grateful to have this fantastic product. All of the functions on the unit have worked properly. I have basically been using this item almost non-stop since I received it, and I have not had any issues with it at all. If anything, it has preformed way beyond my expectations. I went to a space heater because the baseboards at my house doesn’t do anything. Yes it is an older house. So when I ordered this one off Amazon, I was tremendously surprised. I have a big kitchen which is an open floor plan to my dining room. It’s the biggest open space in my house. This heater has done so good I am buying a second one. It has heated my kitchen, my living room and my mudroom and even part of my living room. I love the timer control, I love the temperature setting, I love that it rotates. Purchased the 23 inch black tower heater for my living room. So far, works fairly well & warms the area in less than 30 minutes. It is easy to use, one touch temperature control (41°F-95°F), 4 functions- high, low, eco, cold, & has a timer option. Also comes with a remote control, 2 AAA batteries are not included. If you need a fairly basic heater, I highly recommend this one. Read on to see why. 1) I can run it on low and it heats a small-ish living space fairly quickly. No need to run up the electric bill to avoid frost vote! 2) Its shape is pretty great. It's small but not squat, so it's tall enough to spew glorious heat into the air without being a giant towering monster. 3) The sorcerers who invented this have been able to create a shape that avoids tip-overs by a herd of dogs playing so rough they're two seconds away from needing time-outs. Seriously, my dogs can't knock this over. Major win. Now for the "negative," which means things I don't care about but others might. 1) The controls are basic. They're knobs (so manual), there is no remote, and there isn't a temperature display so you have no idea what you're setting the temperature to. Do I care? No. I get up to turn it on or off and adjust the temperature to whatever feels warm. It's easy. 2) No timer. I don't care about that because I turn it on when I want to and then off...when I want to. Again, it's easy. So the pros are many and the cons are only for people who aren't like me. If you are like me, buy this. And enjoy the simple, upright-remaining warmth it provides. ... show more

This makes more heat than the Lasko model that was about 25% more expensive. NO smell like the Lasko that never went away. The remote, the cooldown feature when you turn it off, the tip over safety.
