I was originally going to get the more common looking ones and tried to do as much research as i could on ground anchors but I'm really happy with these. They are very solid and thick, easy to install. I had some straps to use with them but they don't come with any which was kinda a bummer.

This 4-pack of ground anchors is alright and will do the job most times. I like that these are well over a foot long, for good hold in most soils. The hex driver to sink the anchors is really a nice feature (photo 1), once set (photo 2) screw in the eyelet (photo 3) and you are done. I am using these for additional tie downs for beehives, so I don't have to go as deep as you would for something that could catch a lot of wind, or where someone could get hurt. A couple of things bothered me - one is local to my area, but the other will affect everyone. So, the more important item first - the finish is not very good (photo 4). With the steel not being stainless, and the finish seems to lack durability, I think that corrosion will set in sooner rather than later. The other item is more of a preference. We have very sandy soil so larger, wider spirals would be have a stronger hold in those soils - not just sandy soil, but also the beach, lakefront, or riverfront. Overall, good product competitively priced.

These screw anchors worked well for my application, ( to anchor 2x8 beams to ground.) Though in hindsight i wished I had ordered the slightly longer for my loose soil. However the 15inch appear to be holding well. Very sturdy construction and the drill adapter included did the trick sinking into the ground quickly and easily. Be aware that the "nut" is WELDED onto the ground stem and therefore does NOT screw off and the eye hook has a rather short stem, which required me to counter sink into the beam being held to screw into base. Butt generally will not matter for usual applications .

We were expecting to be able to use the enclosed attachment to drill the spikes into the ground, however, our drill was not powerful enough to do so. We ended up screwing the loop on the top and using a very sturdy screwdriver inserted through the center as a handle to screw them in the ground. They are sturdy and working well on our swing set

The box had everything including the adapter for my drill. Very well thought out. I use them to anchor a small gazebo over my hot tub in case the winds come up. We had some gusts over the weekend and all held tight. Way to go and worth every penny.
