Long review! We had to make a few adjustments to make it more kid proof, such as add child safety latches (right over the latch it came with). We keep our bunny in the garage, so can’t say if this would work well outdoors. I really don’t think it would tho- I feel like it may last outdoors for a year but with sun and rain it doesn’t seem like a good choice. Assembly was a pain. The included latches are also a pain to open/close (and they split the wood slightly). I also originally thought the built in hay trough would be nice, but you can’t put a litter tray in front of it. It would have been better if that hay trough was on the bottom/side. The plastic liner is also not good for putting litter pellets on, the bunny slides around a lot, and it makes a huge mess outside the hutch. So I put some old towels down, and a narrow litter box on the bottom level. I also highly recommend getting a 8 panel (at minimum) pet playpen- I put one around the entire hutch, and it allows my kids to spend time with her during the day. Then in the evening or when we aren’t home we put her in the hutch. We only got the hutch because we feel safer with her in there when we aren’t with her. It is spacious, and she loves to hop around in there and run up that ramp! Mind you, our bunny is 9 weeks old and she won’t get that big. And even at her tiny size- this hutch alone isn’t big enough for her to live in 24/7. All in all- I do like it and I’m glad we got it for our little bun! ... show more

    • Flimsy and broke when assembling
This was difficult to assemble, the instructions were very unclear and several places did not have pre-made drilled holes for screws to go. The back piece broke when I put the top on, and the hinges that are supposed to hold the top open don’t work. The metal clasps that keep the doors closed don’t fit together and make awful rattling sounds with any movement. After several modifications I was able to make it work, but I don’t plan on using this long term. ... show more
