Just what we needed for a chick run. We need a run for our new brood of chicks that had reached 4 weeks old. Plus we had 6 surprise chicks our hen had decided to hatch in secret. This chicken run was perfect. The sturdiness is good but you will definitely want to anchor this down, just like you would any light weight shelter. We put in 8 anchors and it would take a Tornado to move this thing now. The Frame was easy enough to put together but attaching the chicken wire was a bit daunting. All parts were included and we actually had extra chicken wire left. Make sure to buy about 200 extra zipties if you want the chicken wire to stay tight. Overall, for building this on a budget, well worth the price for the quality. Would highly recommend! ... show more

    • Great coop enclosure for our 4 hens!
After several not-so-stellar attempts at building our own coop enclosure, we decided on this kit and we're glad we did. As new chicken farmers, we are still learning and we have found that this chicken pen is a good shape and design. The girls' coop fits nicely inside of it and gives them a small protected space for when we need to confine them. This went together easy- 2 person job. Taking away one star though because the chicken wire seemed way too flimsy so we replaced it with livestock fencing and now this coop enclosure is sturdy! Overall, we would recommend this for design, materials and ease of assembly. ... show more

Not built to withstand heavy snow. We live in Ohio and covered it in plastic like many recommend during the winter. It’s a pain to put together too, so don’t waste your time. Luckily my birds were fine and didn’t get hurt. The fencing provided is very flimsy too so you need to put hardware cloth along the bottom to keep predators out. Some raccoons were able to get in before we did that- my girls were locked in their coop though so they were fine. I only put an extra star for its usefulness in the spring/summer months during the day. ... show more

Easy, but time consuming set up. The chicken wire is not enough to keep predators out, you will need to purchase hardware cloth and other safety measures to keep foxes from digging under or raccoons from tearing the chickenwire apart. I would still buy this again.

It does the job and was relatively easy ro put together...until I got to the wire...I will warn you the only thing they provide in the set to secure to fence is zip ties...out rabbits made quick work of the thin wire as well...would be fine for keeping chick's or chickens in but wouldn't keep anything out. ... show more

The cats absolutely love it! I did however buy more sturdy zip ties and ground stakes, and I would recommend doing that as well for any animal. The zip ties and stakes it comes with aren't enough. But it wasn’t hard to put together and the built quality is sturdy. I can’t say I would have a friends group in there, but it’s quite roomy for my cats and me to sit in. I have it up against my house to allow the cats to get in and out from a house window. One cat is terrified of everything and feels very safe out there. ... show more

Very durable and works great for my chickens. We left about 3 extra inches of the plastic wire at the bottom and placed brick on the sire all the way around the pen and it has kept everything out so far. Door could use some rethought as it is able to push open with the latch in place. We had to place something across the bottom of the door to prevent any predators getting in. Overall happy and would buy again knowing door issue needs to be reworked when building it this time. ... show more
