I used ice packs not ice cubes and transported cold food with several ice packs in it for a 6 hour drive on a recent vacation and everything in it stayed nice and cold. This bag is not only good for camping, but it also holds more than half of the car trunk’s foods when Texas weather reaches 100 degrees and up this in the summer . It's great to bring the food into the house after 3 hours running around buy groceries but the foods still cold (without ice) . My favorite is that the bag looks compact, but holds a lot of things. The cooler seems to be in good condition except for the red x that was on the top of the cooler before I opened the package. It also was obviously repackaged using shippers tape.
