  • Better than thought
It's very small, so, a few small birds or 2 to 3 Silkies or Bantams. It would be good for a couple rabbits. Easy to put together, I did it pretty much myself. Just needed that 3rd hand at the start. I would like it to have a door from inside of the "coop" area to the run. It makes it too open for my liking. Bigger screws than those tiny ones. I do thing it is thicker wood than I thought it would have. And just from past chicken coops we have done, I did use wood glue to help secure it more. I'll take pictures later and post. All n all, for the price, not too bad. 👏✌️ ... show more

  • Needs to be cheaper
This coop should be about $75 for the quality that it is. The coop is PRIMERED not painted. So I am having to paint the trim. I received it damaged, not from transit. The piece that broke off was not inside the box. There were also multiple repairs made to the frame from the manufacturer splitting the wood. I however had no issue carefully placing screws without splitting, even with a drill. ... show more

  • Great little chicken house would be even better with a few upgrades
This house is not big enough for even 3 full grown size chickens, but I can fit 6-8 juvis in there. I currently have about 10 or more 5 week chicks and they are super happy. The drawback is it is cheaply made but you get what you pay for. So far, it is withstanding all the moving we have done to a fresh spot on the grass. Whish there was a sliding DC door to contain the chicks in the closed room when we are moving it. Also wish the roof top on both sides would open for easy access to feeder and water. It is hard for some members of my family to squat down and open the little door on the front to get the water out. Overall, I love this little house. It is perfect for 4-7 week chicks. ... show more

  • Good for the price.
I purchased this hutch so my two ducks had a hiding place in case they needed some shade/shelter or to lay eggs outside during their roaming session. I've had it for two months now. The cage is well made for the price. It's made with cheap wood, and a layer of decent paint and a plastic roof. It has withstood rain storms and high winds so far. It was easy to build and easy to lift. I did cover it in tung oil to better withstand the outdoor elements and so far it's held without mold or rot. It's a small cage but my two ducks fit comfortably in it. I would never keep them in there all day and night(it's fine for sleep) without another place to roam. There just is not enough space. I do not recommend more than two ducks or the equivalent in chickens or other animal. There are latches but no locking system, a predator can easily open it and kill them. The left side roof opens up as a potential predator risk. It's lifted on treated wood so it doesn't completely sit on the wet grass or mud. The hutch resides inside a larger 9ftx9ft metal enclosure to give my ducks extra saftey and room to roam. They also roam the whole back yard. If you're looking for a pretty hutch to add some shelter to your animals I recommend it. I wouldn't recommend it if it's the main living space. Go with a large metal cage and add this as a secondary home. ... show more

  • Works , but I was expecting a little better quality.
Starting with the delivery it came when scheduled, but the box was damaged, had a few kicks but it seems to be ok , It wasn't worth the wait to send back for replacement as I have a mother hen with 10 chicks that needed to be separated from the other hens.hen's. It was smaller than expected and it's not heavy in weight I just hope the wind don't lift it up and take it away. The instructions were a little hard to following , pieces weren't labeled which made it a longer process. Will see how long it last I just put it up yesterday. Hope this helps someone. ... show more

  • Inside use? Go for it. Outside? Save your money.
If you’re getting this to use solely INSIDE please skip my review. I’m sure it would do fine inside. I would love to give this a good review, but it’s just poorly made. It was easy enough to put together. I ordered it for my 3 small Serama chickens and it is a perfect size for them, but they are the world’s smallest breed so keep that in mind. It’s not meant for standard size fowl. I put it on my back porch where it was under an overhang so it would be mostly protected but still somewhat exposed to the elements if it was raining sideways. Within a week, with no more than a slight sprinkle two days, the wood frame had begun to mold! If you’re familiar with pre-fabricated coops you’ll know they really usually aren’t meant to last long, but a week is a new record for me. I ended up sinking longer screws in all over after one side of the yard frame came undone. I moved this inside my covered chicken run so it is fully covered from the elements, but I am going to put it up on bricks so moisture won’t seep into it from the ground. So.. I’m giving this 2 stars because I’ve bought enclosures from this company before to use solely inside and they’ve been fine. But on its own, outside, this would be 0 stars if I could. ... show more

  • Perfect indoor house for rabbits.
As long as you use indoors this house is great for bunnies. I removed the roosting bar and use it to reinforce the nesting area. My large bunnies were too heavy for it but once I added the roosting bar under to support the shelf, my bunnies sleep up there. The wood and structure is not suitable for rain or weather but if it’s protected from the elements you could get a year use out of it outside. ... show more

  • Will not protect from any predator
I bought it for quail- they have not moved in yet- screws are not enough to keep it square with any movement. Wood is so soft it won’t hold staples - even manufactured staples pop right out. It is so hot here I assembled the enclosed part and moved it ouside to add the run. I now have gaps between all of the walls. I am adding a screen under the open area to protect the quail. I am not moving the hutch more than 1” and I think it will fall apart The roof has an odd afterthought cut to drain water? Rough cut, no paint, doesn’t go low enough to release water. This hutch should not face any elements or predators. I will add birds review and cleaning review later. ... show more
