I knocked two stars off this review for the following: it is smaller than a thought (which, to be fair, the size is listed in the description), only some of the holes were pre-drilled, and the ladder came apart pretty easily just by moving the hutch a few feet without any support under the ladder. The size of this hutch would be absolutely perfect for smaller breeds of rabbit. My old Netherland dwarf would have had a decent amount of room to hop around in, but I currently have a New Zealand. Right now she's in her teenage phase and, luckily, is still small enough to enjoy the spaces that this hutch provides. But, as you can see (kind of)from the pictures, her size makes it a pretty tight squeeze. I may piggy back off of another reviewer's idea and take the poop tray and ladder off once she gets to her full-size so she can hop around a little. I bought this hutch because I felt bad that she was stuck in a cage inside while I was at work all day and wanted her to have some more room to enjoy the fresh air outside. While the hutch is probably just as long but double the height, it seems as if she has more room to move in the cage without the ladder there. This product was relatively easy to put together. I believe it took me an hour to do so (between watching TV, losing parts in my living room, and being distracted with my phone). There were a few pre-drilled holes in the parts to make it easier to insert the screws. Luckily the wood was soft enough that I could manually put the screws in that didn't have the pre-drilled holes with a regular screw driver. Having all the needed holes pre-drilled probably would have saved me 30 minutes. As my boyfriend was helping me move the hutch outside, we took about four steps without supporting the ladder and it detached from the screws, leaving the sharp ends sticking out. I managed to shove them back into place but will probably end up buying duct take to keep it in place because I don't want my rabbit to get hurt if the ladder falls again and the screws scratch her. I got my rabbit from a breeder who keeps the rabbits in crowded(ish) cages until they are ready to be sold for their meat, so right now I'm not too worried about the size of the hutch since she was used to being in a small space with many rabbits (and frankly, this probably seems like a castle to her). I just wish it was a little bigger to accommodate her rapidly growing size, but it'll have to do until I can get a bigger pen to let her run around in. Overall, it's a good product and it did withstand some rain we got last night.

Wasn't too hard to put together, although some things were a little snugger than other spots. The critters liked the hidey spot, and seemed to figure the ramp out quickly. Easy enough to clean. However, if they run under the top piece, it's hard to get a hold of them as you would have to take the entire one side of the cage off or remove the floor which makes it problematic to catch a critter. Otherwise, it's fairly sturdy and holds up against the outdoors. It came with enough screws and other hardware. The critters have chewed it a bit, but I think it's because they like chewing the wood and feel comfortable chewing everything.

I keep my mother rabbit and 2 babies inside at night but they like to go out during the days, so I got this. She’s a big rabbit too (French angora) and she fits through all the entries. I think 2 full grown large rabbits are the max I would put in this though. This is better made than the last one I got, but be prepared to lose your mind a little with the directions. I really don’t understand why the only thing they labeled was the screws. It would have been nice to have a little number sticker or a this side out sticker somewhere on the pieces. Other than that I’m really happy with it. The rabbits love it too.

I was disappointed when I received this hutch. After putting it together I realized that it was not as big as I had envisioned it (totally my fault- I should have paid more attention to the dimensions before purchasing), it was not as sturdy as I had hoped, and the hardware that it came with (specifically the latches that hook the cage to the pen) were flimsy. I live in the backwoods where predators are a real threat, and there is no way this hutch would stand up to them without modification. The roof lifts off for easy cleaning which would be convenient if this was just being used as a backyard hutch, but if you live in the country it would be an easy way for raccoons or possums to get in at your animals. Also, about the metal pan that slides out for easy cleaning-- I would have thought that there would be a grate flooring in the cage so that the animals droppings would fall through to the pan, but there is not. The animal sits/walks/lays directly in the pan, meaning that unless you line the pan with straw or chips or something (which tend to make for not-so-easy cleaning) or go through the trouble of installing your own grating into the floor, then the animal will be sitting in its own waste. Not cool. Another thing that made me nervous was that the stain used to treat the wood had a very strong odor to it. Perhaps the odor would wear off in time, but I wouldn't want to put some poor animal into the thing straight out of the box. The upsides to this hutch was that it was very cute. If I was putting it into a fenced back yard with no threat of predators and I had a very small breed of rabbit, it might be suitable for one or two. And if I didn't have two small children that I'm pretty sure would have this delicate hutch demolished within a week, I might consider keeping it. Alas, this hutch is not right for us. The best thing about this product however, is that it is sold by a company that genuinely cares about delivering superior customer service. My complaints were immediately addressed, and the customer service agent who helped me did everything in her power to help me feel satisfied. I would most definitely give this company my business again in the future.

Wish one of the roof sides opened up so the divider can be removed as needed. It looks good but a bit flimsy around the sides. Needs more bracing to keep it from wobbling. I use a weight on the top to keep it from being moved when my rabbit jumps around in it.
