This is a good little chicken coop for bantam chickens. I recommend it for a small chickens probably no more than four. We built this chicken coop, actually my 10-year-old built it on his own We put some bantam chickens in it and allow them to go out during the day and run around we just use this for sleeping. My only recommendation is that you add a door to the top house to keep predators from getting in and also keep the animals warmer. ... show more

    • Don't waste your money
I got this and the first rain the roof was warping. It doesn't sit level even on level ground. It is ver thin material and much smaller than expected. I asked for a refund and I'm still 4 weeks later waiting on a full refund. Amazon says contact the seller, the seller says contact Amazon.

Easy to assemble. Definitely more for chickens or ducks. Not so much for cats, which is what I bought it for. Will use until it breaks. Also sealed the wood with varnish.

Nice size for a couple chickens. These ones are only about a month old (still too small for the ramp). I leave them out during the day and they seem too enjoy it. It’s only held together by so many screws so if you move it around you have to make sure it’s flush to the ground. It flex’s a bit. Does the job though. ... show more

The lumber (fir), the joints, glue, screws, hinges, everything is well constructed. No splintered wood. Really impressive for the cost. I put a clear coat stain on the wood before assembly. It was easy to assemble. I don't recommend using it outdoors without finishing the wood.
