  • Prepare for Viper Drive
Capacity: 1TB
This was a pretty legit ssd that I installed on my new pc. Easy to pop in, and boots super fast. This was my first ssd for a computer and I am impressed. I am currently running Windows 11 on it. I still have Hard Disk drives too, but they do not boot as fast as this one. I have not had it crash, and I have not had issues with Windows 11 and this SSD. ... show more

  • Working like a charm in PS5
Capacity: 2TB
Purchased 2TB version. 5 minute installation in PS5. Removing the PS5 cover took the longest time. Be sure to place the screw spacer under the SSD to secure it. SSD was auto detected upon firing up PS5 and formatted in less than a minute with 1.9TB available. . Getting Read speed of 6800 MB/s which is well over minimum required 5500 MB/s. Note this SSD did not have a standard heat sink like WD Blavk or Corsair MPC 600 but does have a thin graphene coated heat spreader. However it is listed as PS5 compatible by the manufacturer and I have not experienced any issues. So far working very well for a lower price point but equally compatible SSD. Happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • This is a fast and good drive This is a fast and good drive
Capacity: 4TB
So what I can I say. Sure there are cheaper options and there are more expensive options but this performes really well (see the patching speed of this game in steam), it doesn't get too hot and all around has been solid for the past 5 months I have had it. You can probably see some people with benchmark stats (those are good to have) but real work performance is good as seen in the pic. It's that simple. I am very glad I got this and feel it was money well spent. ... show more

  • I guess the best available M.2 SSD for PCIe (NVMe) Gen4.
Capacity: 1TB
Speeds are night and day against my previous M.2 SSD. I was really doubtful at first after comparing other drives' with higher price and similar speeds. But finally I took the risk and do really not regret it. This drive's speed is awesome, and really gave new live to my system, which stood an important time working with a faulty drive. Against any other reknown brands, I really like. Also it is relevant to say that the heatsink is a nice optional feature. As the 'Lite' edition just stands as for a drive model without a heatsink, as I needed, for systems that has embedded heat plates for the M.2 drive in the motherboard and does not reduce any other spec. ... show more

  • It simply works, despite no heatsink, even in PS5.
Capacity: 2TB
I was a little skeptical about Patriot's claims of that this lite version of the VP4300 would perform in the PS5, notwithstanding the absence of a heatsink. As most PS5 owners know, PlayStation tells us that our SSD needs a heatsink. Well this SDD does not. I decided to put it through its paces, so I moved COD MW3 from the console's main storage onto this and play away, sometimes for three to four hours at a time straight. I can't tell any difference in the load times or quality of the play whatsoever. This has been supremely compatible with the PS5 which recognized the storage device immediately, and after hours of play is still booting and loading as normal. Its design and durability has been without question for the several months that I've had it. The PS5 puts out a lot of heat, as we know, but the VP4300 Lite performs like a champ (without a heatsink). Save yourself some time by stop searching, and probably a little money in the process because these seem to be high quality and priced a little lower than the competition. I opted for the 2 TB version, and I don't have any complaints at around the $125 (including shipping) that I paid. ... show more

  • 1 outa 3 ain't bad?
Capacity: 4TB
Got 3 at one time (4TB). 2 of them ran perfect, and consistent at between 40 and 55*C under hours of load. The 3rd started out the same, but then after a day, it consistently ran at over 70*C even with no load/usage - going much higher under load (swapped locations and systems (nothing would lower operating temp). Sent that one back. The other two after a few days in a backup NAS (with huge heat sink) have been great at 35-40*C consistently (no load). The NAS is limited for PCI lanes, so can't test full speed. Price to TB was good. These two good drives run cooler and more consistent than the Crucial P3 Plus 4TB in the same NAS. ... show more

  • Good value and decent speed
Capacity: 4TB
I wasn't able to achieve the expected 7.4GB/s, but I did see it occasionally peak up to 7GB/s. Not sure if that is a limitation of my system or the drive. I purchased 2 of them for a Zen 3 system where one is attached to the x570 chipset and the other the CPU (Ryzen 9 5900x). I was seeing slightly higher average speeds on one vs the other, but peak speeds were around the same. I don't know which was which since they are identical drives and I don't know what order they enumerate to the system. ... show more
