The instructions included with this are not helpful at all. Thankfully, the Amazon Advertisement is helpful as far as how it looks. The directions don't show how to put the bracket on the head. Although there is a bracket, it doesn't tilt. It stays in the same position which isn't bad but that would have been nice to be able to adjust. The unit comes with sandbags for stability. They are needed because the legs are spread out and someone can trip over it and cause it to tip. There is a safely mechanism to where it cuts off when tipped which I have not tested. I can't speak on the fact that it's waterproof. It's sits under my patio cover. As for the heat output, it isn't bad at all. I felt it from about 3 feet away. But it also wasn't very cold out. Just chilly. It works better in my garage. I don't have any complaints regarding the heat yet.

Pros: Heater output is good. 3 settings low, medium, and high (500W-1500W) and it throws the heat quickly. Cons: Instructions are not so good. Instructions for assembly don't match the included hardware, so you kind of have to figure it out yourself. Speaking of hardware, it appears to me that the mounting assembly was almost an after thought. Its off center and feels flimsy. The stand is robust, but the middle adjustable coupler does not fix itself to the lower pole, making adjustability difficult and can result in a tip over. If you use the stand, make sure you weigh it down with the included sand bags. I give it 2 stars because the heater output is pretty good. Its the rest of the package that leaves you wanting for a little more attention to detail.

I almost went four stars because of one issue. But that issue is with setup and assembly. Once this is together this is a five star heater. The Instruction Manual is awful. The manual does not reflect the current design of the product. The pictures show brackets etc. that don't exist. The text is almost incomprehensible. My advice - just toss the instruction manual aside. The video here on the listing is great. It is clear and accurate. Ignore the manual, watch the video and you'll be fine. One it is together, it works great. It puts out a lot of heat. We do a holiday light show for Halloween and Christmas. Something always goes wrong. Today we had to repair some lights on one of our bushes. It was a net light and we did not want to take it down and drag it inside. It was cool and drizzly. We set this up next to wear we had to work and it kept us nice and warm. Easy to put up, easy to take down. We have a patio heater, but those only seem to last a couple of years since ours has to sit out in the elements year round. We have a huge trick or treat event in our village and the weather can be quite cold. So we always used to put the patio heater out for folks to stay warm. Next year, we'll be using this heater. It also can be used inside. During the winter our basement can get quite cold. We have space heaters down there, but they take forever. I plan to use this to do a quick heat up of the basement when we want to work down there. Works great, so versatile. The assembly process was bad due to the poor instructions - but now that I am past that I am very pleased.

Look in the reviews, someone was really nice and posted a video on how to assemble this, the instructions are not good. This is very light so you will have to weigh it down. Luckily they provide Sandbag to weigh it down

This is a very nice heater. Its good for that little bit of warmth when its chilly outside or just when its downright cold. Warms up fast and does everything I need it to do.

I got this outdoor infrared heater to use in my garage. I was able to assemble it fairly quickly. It has a nice sturdy telescopic base so I can easily adjust the height of it. It's also not easy to tip over. The heater mounts to the top of the tripod. This heater puts off some nice heat! Standing near this heater you really feel the warmth. It's perfect for siting it in front of my workbench while I work out in my garage. ITs not too heavy and can be easily moved around depending on where I am working in my garage.
