    • Makes heat, but a couple of limitations
Most important - it does make heat, and two of them are warming my basement nicely. But there are a couple of things you should know about, I did not understand these until I used the unit. First of all - when it turns on, it defaults to 84 degrees. You have to reset the desired temp each time. Second - There are two heat modes - H1 and H2. H1 is low and H2 is high. The documentation does not say that, but the company confirmed it. Third - the remote works well. Finally - There is a timer. You can set a number of hours (1 to 12). The unit stops heating after that time and shuts off, but sometimes the fan continues to run for a while The company says that is to cool the unit. If the timer shuts the unit off, it remembers the temp setting, and when you turn the timer back on it does go to the temp you had it set for last. This unit is fine for an office or bedroom heater where you want it on when you are there, and off when you are gone. But it would not be a good choice for a garage or other unattended locations that you want kept above freezing all the time because of these startup requirements. ... show more

    • Good heater to use in RV.
Truly a good product to use while out in an RV when shore hookups are available. What makes it good for the RV is its small size. The safety features like tipping-over-shutoff and its stability let us to feel safe when using it our pets nearby. It packs well and is small enough to be used under the dinette, then stored there as well when not in use. I would have given five stars if only the fan had a low setting when using on low heat (like with lower temperatures) or without heat. Other (smaller) issues are with the manual as it does clarify the low heat setting, just gives options H1or H2; and no remote storage - like a slot or magnet to attach it to the heater when stowed. ... show more
