  • Good product πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
Size: 3.2 quarts
I brought the first one for myslef a few years ago and found it is very easy to use when i want to make tea or coffee. Its especially convenient for the elderly to fetch hot water when their hands are getting weaker. I bought one for my father and one for my father in law afterwards, they all love it πŸ‘ ... show more

  • A small convenience in so many ways
Size: 3.2 quarts
As far as western culture is concerned, a water boiler is perhaps the most underrated kitchen appliance a person can use. Usually marketed to the Asian populations, a water boiler is usually a staple appliance in households to prepare tea but there is so much more it can do. I am not Asian – let me tell you how this appliance can change your expectations. The Panasonic NC-EG300 3 Liter [or little more than 3/4th of a gallon] Hot Water dispenser (HWD) is an intermediate entry of household water boilers. In my experience, the 3L capacity can be brought to a boil in a little less than half an hour but distinguishes itself from simpler models in several ways. First, is the are the four distinct temperature options – from 160Β°F to 208Β°F – that give the user lower than boiling temperatures that affect the taste and potency of some teas or food preparation. Second, is the 6-hour timer controls that reheats water in 6-hour intervals which is also an energy-saving option for using the HWD throughout the day. Finally, there is a very prominent water level indicator that leaves no doubt as to how much water is left. Our family has really gotten used to this appliance. Once upon a time, our family was dependent on a small one-liter stovetop teakettle but as guests unexpectedly dropped in, that one liter of water was hardly enough. Now with this HWD, not only is there enough for our breakfast coffees, we have enough throughout the day as we enjoy instant noodles and seasonal hot chocolate for ourselves and guests. It is also beneficial for people with limited mobility and strength – no more lifting hot and heavy tea kettles – our loved ones can pour themselves a cup of instant coffee safely and confidently as they can handle a mug. Panasonic has put a lot into this small HWD. About the criticism I have are the mushy and flexible button controls that are a definite contrast to the clicky dome of my earlier Tatung HWP but that alone doesn’t really distract to the convenience of hot and easily dispensed water all day. ... show more

  • Good quality product!
Size: 4.2 quarts
So far so good since I bought it about three months ago. It has carbon coated internals, which is safe to health, and right size and good looking. The only thing I foond misleading is the drippling for making coffee is not really drippling but like a regular flow.

  • Not the easiest to clean
I enjoyed this until this week. Now it has a sediment I simply cannot get rid of and I have tried cleaning it with all the prescribed ways. I have akways used distilled or filtered water. In the last two months since my mom has been here I have kept it on just about 24/7 and thought everything was fine. In this last day we noticed a build up and I have been trying to clean it. With the way the lid hinges but cannot be removed it is not the easiest to clean. I really hope I can salvage it and the lining is not damaged. I was really enjoying the convenience of it and it was fairly simple to use. ... show more

  • We bought it as a replacement of the same one after years of use
Size: 3.2 quarts
The secret is use reverse osmosis filtered water! We have one that we've been using for a long time (Bigger one) until my daughter wanted one for her apartment. I cannot even remember when we bought it and at the time, I'm sure it is not this expensive. It has been so many years but I only use reverse osmosis water since we use it for tea, instant oatmeal, or when cooking. We have a hard water problem in my area and with filtered water. it lasted maybe 10 years or longer. It will not last if you use tap water. ... show more
