I docked 1 star because this is the loudest blender I have ever heard and I used to work at a coffee shop making blended drinks! I've got to figure where to buy or how to make a sound dampening box for it. When I purchased this product 3 years ago, I was shopping for a food processor. The fact that it came with a blender and a smoothie cup was, to me, little more than an added bonus. I didn't expect to develop a smoothie addiction, and, honestly, if I used it for nothing else, I'd feel like I've gotten more than my money's worth. This was my second Ninja product. I was lucky enough to find a brand new Ninja Air Fryer at a thrift store, and quickly found I couldn't live without it, so I thought I'd give this baby a shot. It hasn't disappointed. First of all, I love its compact, sturdy design. I wanted something I could leave out on my counter, and space was definitely a concern, as I really only had one place to put a food processor. While I had to make room in my cupboard for the attachments, the actual unit takes up very little space, and having it out and ready to go means I use it almost daily. I also love the power. This thing crushes ice and frozen fruit effortlessly. I use protein powder in my smoothies, and it blends it in beautifully -- no clumps! The same can be said of the food processor. I especially love making fresh hummus, which requires making fresh, smooth tahini, and that requires a food processor that can evenly process itty bitty sesame seeds. No prob for this Ninja. If I had one warning, it would be to watch those blades when you are using or cleaning it, because they are no joke. One light, careless brush against them, and you'll be running for a BandAid. Having said that, cleaning the blades is super easy -- it rarely requires more than a quick rinse under hot water. Finally, I appreciate the little things about this design. The buttons are big and easy to operate. The attachments lock in, and it won't start unless the lid's on tight and it's properly seated. This has saved me from more than one dismal kitchen cleaning disaster. It's a clever little unit, without being too clever. And because it's so easy to use and clean, I've become more adventurous in the kitchen. I'm eating (and drinking!) healthier. Bottom line: After 3 years and. a whole lot of use, I'd absolutely recommend this to others!
