We had some expensive pans that seemed to be losing their non-stick performance and began to look around for new ones. After a little research we decided we would prefer ceramic vs. the various plastic coatings. So we've had good experience with Oxo brand stuff and heard that America's Test Kitchen had red these highly. At first we were curious if we'd be happy with the lighter weight, but that's been a real plus. [They're not flimsy, but what we had before weighed a ton in the name of even heat dissipation.] We've had these several months and are very happy with the cooking performance.... the heat seems pretty even and the slope of the sides is useful. Unfortunately, they only last about one year, even with very careful use and cleaning. But this has always been the case with non-stick skillets. I'm buying another 8" Oxo skillet, exactly one year later, as there is no better brand and I do like Oxo. I just hope the non-stick coating is safe for humans to use over and over again. It seems like most brands like to stretch the truth on this. It does perform well over one year and then things start to stick. I wash by hand and don't use metal utensils. I guess we can't expect non-stick coatings to be long-term durable. ... show more

As recommended by America's Test Kitchen, one of the best non sticks frying pans. Bought the 10 inch and 12 inch pans as well. Very durable. My 2nd pan in 3 years. It's suggested you rotate out non stick pans 2.5 to 3 years. Holds up to this recommendation. Wonderful for flipping omelets like a pro.

I purchased this set of pans to replace pans that were past their expiration date. The old pans were starting to get some scratches in the non-stick coating, so it was time for some replacements. My wife and I are big fans of OXO products, and these do not disappoint. The non-stick coating works great and there is very little clean-up. They are well made and should last for years! Size: 12" Frying Pan Skillet
Wanted a frying pan with quick heat-up for "short order" items such as grilled cheese, pancakes, bacon, etc. Had a Farberware non-stick skillet that was losing it's non-stick abilities but had been the work-horse of the kitchen. Apparently the model I had is no longer made so I needed to look around. This OXO had good reviews and I have liked most other OXO products I have tried. This skillet seemed much lighter than the Farberware but it actually cooks in a similar way. I thought a pan had to be heavy with all the "plys" to have good heat distribution but this one actually seems to do very well. I did not have high expectations but have been very pleasantly surprised! The non-stick surface seems great. It has held up to all the different foods I have cooked and I cook every day, at least twice a day. It washes easily. The non-stick coating has what looks like "shiny diamond dust" in it. The pan is "flat" with lots of cooking area and the sides go up "abruptly". They are not tapered so you have more cooking surface. I enjoy using it. ... show more

This is a really nice pan and I love it. No frills and it's easy to clean and can also go into the oven. It has an excellent non stick surface. I have discovered that anything made by OXO has been a great product and I am not disappointed in this purchase.

This pan arrived quickly and was well packaged. I make a lot of omelets for friends and family and I love how this pan feels in my hand. I'm a big guy and I've been looking for a pan that just "feels right". I have complete control with this pan and I'm very satisfied.

Nice Pan, thought I’d splurge for once and get a top rated frying Pan ! But $80.00, if I could do over iD get a pan for half that and I’d be happy ! Wife gave me a Amazon gift certificate and we just threw away our old 12 inch fry pan !
