Having had several of the brand name LaC- products over the years, I know that this may be slightly less well-glazed but even the expensive ones do chip around the edges here & there with use, so a few battle-worn blemishes over don't concern me, if that's all that occurs (internal or external flaking is another story, will see...), and for the price I won't feel as bad when it does, vs the $400 equivalent. I love this Dutch oven it is excellent quality and I highly recommend it. I love the color. I was told that Dutch ovens will often stay a bit stained after washing but this has not. It has washed very easily. I have cooked stews on the stove top in it and I have baked bread in the oven in it, what I really liked the food stayed hot, and all turned out great. It is very versatile. It does come with pot holder but they were too small for me to trust so I did purchase a good pair of oven gloves because a regular pair was not good enough . ... show more

Absolutely LOVE this pot. Beautiful color that’s true to the picture, beautiful enamel finish over the cast iron so of course that makes this very heavy. If lifting a heavy pot is a hard thing for you, I would not buy this. As long as you don’t leave it sitting in water this pot should not rust. Lid fits completely tight to the pot with no ventilation, which makes it great for baking sourdough bread and meat dishes. ... show more
