Our old door knob literally came off in my hand. So, I guess it was time for a new one. I know next to nothing about door knob brands. I say that because I normally research everything I purchase but I was sort of in a rush to get a new door knob. I was looking to replace the old with something that looked fairly similar but as long as it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I wasn't entirely happy with the dark color but it was the same design and seemed like a decent deal so I ordered it. Had it installed within 15 minutes and everything seemed to work with very little hassle. Over the course of a couple of days I noticed the new door knob would stick and stay turned causing the door to remain open. Then the inevitable day came in which I needed the lock. I have to have the door locked when I have telehealth appointments and when I went to lock the door the lock would turn but nothing would happen. I couldn't lock the door making what I needed the door knob for useless. I might have gotten a busted product, I'm not sure. I'm in the process of sending this one in for a refund as I've already gotten our replacement that seems to work as intended. ... show more

Business side: It’s alright for the price point. It arrived on time and packed well. Usability and issues: I just installed it. The locking mechanism is stiff. The interior side lock switch spins without any clear indication if the door is locked or unlocked. This combined with the stiff locking mechanism caused me to be locked inside my house twice and unable to open the door at all. I had to take the key and go around the house to the back door to unlock the doorknob from the outside with the key. I assumed the issue must be the strike plate and so I removed it again and repositioned it. I ended up with the same result. If I do not lock the door at all it functions fine. Since I bought it with the purpose of having the capability of locking I am pretty annoyed. The grip on the doorknob itself is sharp raw edge metal near the base where it meets the stem.
