I noticed that the product review page asked me for a rating on the "Remote Control," but this is just a plain old string light set, no remotes, no on/off switches. Plug it in and watch it go. I leave these out in the rain and haven't had a problem, but the bulbs do need to be replaced rather often. If you catch them at a good price, order two sets and keep one in storage. Over the course of a year, you'll have to replace around 30-40% of the lights with regular usage, and you can steal bulbs from the set in storage to replenish the burnt out ones. This method ends up being cheaper bulb-for-bulb than buying replacement bulb packs. ... show more

The light color is nice as is size of bulbs but hanging it in the patio 4 bulbs blew out, the lighting came with 2 additional, not enough, sad to say.

To reiterate what the sellers already described, these lights dim, ONLY IF ATTACHED TO A DIMMER. And they are correct, I bought a KASA dimmer separately, plugged these lights in, and they ARE dimmable! They don't dim simply plugged into an outlet. These bulbs are super fragile, I've broken a few on other string lights. Be very careful when hanging them up, make sure hooks are sturdy, or they will surely break if they fall to the ground. ... show more

These lights turned out to be affordable and perfect for my purpose. I wanted a 3 strand sun ray pattern coming off my pergola and attaching to a tree. I needed about 80 or so feet but didn't want to mess with connecting strands. I ordered the 100 foot long incandescent light strand. It's non-connectable to another strand so it has a cap bulb on the very end. I was easily able to cut the extra length off my strand and pry the top of the last "cap" bulb on the end of the strand and then insert the end into it and push the cap down to seal it. All I had to do was run my strand and then terminate it where I wanted to to end. Once it was safely capped off I ran power to it with and outdoor heavy duty extension cord and that's it. A little creativity with a tree strap and a string light hanging kit and everything is up nice and secure. I plan to replace the bulbs as they eventually burn out with shatter proof led bulbs of the same type. These are glass so they are fragile and can break like any other glass bulb. I inserted all of my bulbs first and placed each one back into the padding they came in. Then I had someone help me hang them on the wire as I carefully fed them the strand removing the screwed in bulbs from the padding as we went. Super bright!! High quality lights and pretty. I love these lights but I wish they came with a dimmer. Make sure you hang up the string first and attach the bulbs after.

so i'm going for a white themed room and the lights are great! you can't leave them on all night though, well i wouldn't. there not led so they get hot. be careful if u have them hanging on plastic hooks or those fake vines. that can be a big fire hazard!
