This heater is loaded with features AND puts out a lot of heat! It takes only a few seconds to assemble the base (using your own screwdriver). Once plugged in and powered on, it gets hot instantly and silently. It is easy to adjust the heat with the knob on the front. Even on the lower settings, it heats up a pretty good radius. It can be used stationary or switched to oscillating mode (or "head shake" mode as the instructions call it). It rotates smoothly and covers a wide area. There is a timer feature so you can set it to automatically turn off in one to nine hours. The remote is convenient and allows you to utilize all of the features from a bit of a distance. The heater is tall, but slim so it has a small profile, which is good since you will want to leave a good safety buffer around it. It is well-constructed and stable. Although there is an auto shut-off feature when the heater tips over, this is not something I would use around children or leave unattended around pets. The grate gets hot enough to burn anyone who touches it (or possibly to ignite any combustibles on the floor when it tips over). Once turned off, it takes 15 - 20 minutes to cool enough to touch the grate and/or store it away. I originally intended to use this to warm up my goat shed on cold winter nights, but - due to the wide spaces between the bars in the grate - this isn't ideal for any environment where hay, debris, sawdust, fabric, or any other combustibles may slip through and touch the element. We will instead be using this when working in our chilly garage.

Overall this is a great heater now that it is operational. We were initially frustrated as the heater arrived missing some of the base parts that you need to assemble (simple assembly). We did reach out to the company and they did ship us the missing parts but that did take another 10 days. The heater does work well, has nice controls and looks good. Customer support was responsive.

I have a large covered patio, that tends to get neglected during the winter, as it's just too cold to sit out there. I have a large fire table with chairs around it, but it doesn't seem to really put off enough heat to be comfortable outside, unless you're bundled. I put this tower near the chairs, and along side the ambiance of the fire, it was completely comfortable to sit outside. It hasn't been windy, so I can't speak to how effective it would be in the wind, but man, it really adds significant heat to your outdoor space. I'm so pleased with this product and to be able to use the outdoor space more often now. I even will turn it on in the morning and go outside for a cup of tea. 10/10 recommend!

This does pump out a lot of heat but I don’t like the controls being down at the bottom. Other than that this is very durable and sturdy. It would be difficult to knock it over and if you did manage to it would shut off because of the safety features.
