The heater was easy to set up, and looks less invasive than our previous heater because it’s shorter and has a smaller footprint. We always get models featuring the safety feature of auto shutoff in the event of a tip-over, so it checked that box. It’s got simple easy to use and read dials, very functional. Where it excels is the heat output. On nights in the 20’s, this little unit gets that semi enclosed area up to 50 even when not on the highest setting. The handle in in the back is all plastic, so it’s safe and stays cool. It looked unimpressive coming out of the box, but it really does the job! Love this for my solarium in the winter. Its perfect and has already been tested by being knocked over by kids. Shut off as soon as soon as it realized it wasn't in all fours. This is a nice looking patio/porch heater that’ll put out some good heat. That is, provided you’re sitting pretty close to it. Be sure you know that you’re getting a radiant heater. It heats like the sun. There is no forced air fan with this kind of heater. Ignore one of the images in the amazon listing that says this has 3 levels. As other parts of the listing correctly state, this heater has just 3 settings: off, level 1 and level 2. So two heat levels. Low and high. Sitting out on the porch in 50 degree weather, it feels nice on the high setting. But this porch is small. 10 ft long at most and just 6 ft wide. Ultimately my review takes in the fact that this heater is very basic. 2 levels, no remote control, no timer, no oscillation capability. And for such a basic heater, is the price really warranted? It’s very expensive for what you’re getting. Case in point, just visit the “Haimmy Store” and you’ll find a taller heater (42 inches as opposed to this one at 21 inches) and it includes a remote control and a timer and … it costs substantially LESS.
