I made this purchase to cook potatoes, yams and other root tubers. The product does a pretty great job, I wanted the strainer in the cover so that I won't have to use a collander, it does that function well. I like the part to steam vegetables, this is a great bonus also, since it performs two functions. The product is a little light in weight, but it works wonderfully for my purposes. I bought a used one and the quality was excellent, just like new, no signs of wear and tear at all. Over all I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

Very pretty, high quality and unique dimensions (tall and thin) great space saver for those who only make smaller batches of soup or tamales. However, the lid and steamer don't seem like something most people would use and a standard dish lid would have been better.

Plating evaporates immediately

Terrible. First notice is two very tiny spots bottom of pot. Put hot pasta in strainer no heat and plating evaporated on rim at two places. Unless you want cookware that last one use, I would recommend spending more than getting something else.

I burned up my last pasta pot using it to steam broccoli, it was unsalvageable. This fit the bill nicely. It's very light, and easy to tip so that you can drain out the pasta water. The included steamer is a little smaller than I would have liked, but it will def keep me from burning broccoli again!
