I have been using the Oster Pro300i almost every day (professional groomer) for about 2 months now and I have no complaints! It’s much quieter than the Volt and the rounded body is much more comfortable to hold. I pop it on the charger between dogs and it hasn’t died while using it. It’s a little heavier than the Volt but not really enough to notice during use, plus it’s still a lot lighter than a corded clipper. I am a housecall groomer so I only groom dogs under 30lbs. These clippers are perfect for my set up! If I am clipping more than three dogs, I definitely need to bring the charging base. They are a single speed, so I don’t think they would get through a badly matted coat very well. The weight is nice, they are a little high pitched, but the noise isn’t bad. These clippers are nice but very loud and high pitched. Much more so than my volts. Also there is no place to charge an extra battery. At least once a day I know I will have to take time to charge them in the middle of a busy day. Honestly skip these and get the volts. Much better clipper all around. ... show more

Only lasted 6 months before the motor started over heating. Could not do half of a hair cut on my husband with out stopping multiple time to cool the motor off. He gets a buzz cut nothing fancy.
