Very pleased with this tire. Spooned it on and put it to the test - I immediately went down a trail that I knew had previously been beyond skill level with the K60s ID had on before. No issues - went through everything like I was riding a tractor. Next went on long mixed asphalt/gravel trip - it did fine. Initial tread depth was 5/8", and in six hundred miles I've taken 1/8" off that, so I'm fine with the pace of wear. An excellent tire for the dirt, mud and gravel roads. DOT legal, and almost as good offroad as the full-on dirt-only knobbies. On the street, they handle just fine for casual use, but pavement kills them in the long run, as they are not designed for street use (rubber is too soft) Better to have a knobbie on the street, than a street tire offroad though. ... show more

Nope! Not bad when new, but as they wear they get like ice skates on loose terrain. I am an A level rider and I could not get them off my 501 fast enough when they started to wear. Now, mind you I am riding at a spirited pace, but still down right scary on steep, loose down hills.
