This is the best clipper I have ever used it is very strong. it is fairly quite a really nice sound level. it is a bit heavier then other andis clippers but not by much. it does heat up a little fast but not the fastest I have seen. the battery life is good But got it for personal use so I don't know how well it would hold up for use in a grooming salon but it feels like it would be good. And my whal attachment comes works really well on it and for blades I only have andis blades so idk if it would work with other brands but I assume so ... show more

When the battery works I love the power and convenience of cordless, battery doesn't last long,the charger will tell you its fully charged but when you go to use it, halfway thru a dog it will indicate low battery then shut off. I thought buying 2 different batteries for this model so I can see which one is better both does the same.just frustrating because I've only had the clipper and 2 extra batteries for 2 months. It is heavier on the wrist, so I dont just use this clipper thinking that too would help extend battery life but it hasn't. Im groom 5 to 6 dogs a day and alternate my clippers and im disappointed in Andis for the cost of the clippers and how long the last before you have to replace batteries. And even then the newer batteries dont last long either. And the charger for them sucks. ... show more

I haven't had it very long but the quality seems to be good and The cordless option is great. No cord to get tangled up in. Its went through thick hair of the Airedale terrier without issue and the batter is holding charge very well.

Works well. Pricey but it’s an investment piece. We groom our 3 poodles at home every 6 weeks. Easy to use. Noise level isn’t bothersome. Battery works well, but we bought a spare battery to make sure we never run out of battery life while mid project. Definitely recommend buying Andis blades — we find that the off brand blades make for more noise. They do get hot after using for a while so make sure keep extra blades and cooling spray on hand. ... show more

The welds in the battery that attach the cells to the bms are too weak for a grooming clipper that will ultimately get knocked from your hands to the floor. The clippers always survive but the battery is another story. If you are open to having to replace the battery they will get you by. I have four dogs that have thick long fur. I've tried all levels of clippers and this one seems to be the one that actually mows through the thick double coat of my four Aussies. I suggest a 3FW blade which has a wider blade and cuts much cleaner. The next test is longevity which I'll share when I get to a year. Battery life was about 2 hours on a larger dof before it went out which at that point I did wish it had a plug in to finish cut. I had to use a spare to finish the rest while I recharged. This is why I gave a 4 star vs. 5 star. Pricey but worth it since cutting four dogs pays off the initial investment. Quiet motor. ... show more
