Package arrived on time and in great shape. All pieces were there, in good shape, and functional. The clipper was even charged, but I plugged it in while I set up my grooming station outside. I have never cut hair on anything, including myself. Neither human nor animal. I watched a couple of YouTube videos. That was the extent of my training. My dog is little, a Malti-poo mix, and rather skittish. She’s never liked going to the groomer. But she was in desperate need of a haircut and the warm weather (soon to be hot) made it imperative. The reviews on this set seemed good... Well, let me just say these clippers worked great! They were easy to maneuver around her little body, and in about 25 minutes, she was trimmed and neat! I used mainly the clippers and a bit of scissors. (I did order a set of scissors and they arrive in a few days for our next beauty appointment!) No cries of pain from man nor beast, no blood, and a ton of hair floating around in the air. Now, don’t get me wrong, this is no dog show level grooming. I see spots I could have done better with. But she is so much happier to have all that hair gone, my wife thinks I’m a genius (of course!), the kids were floored by how cute she looks now, and we can go for our Covid walks without me feeling ashamed my dog looks so ratty, and I don’t have to worry about her overheating. All in all, a great product that feels solid in the hand, is quiet enough a skittish dog didn’t mind them at all, and very easy to operate. It’s already paid for itself! And I know I can keep her hair short all summer long without it costing a day of my time and an arm and a leg of money! A win for all!

These clippers are very lightweight and incredibly quiet. that may be due to the fact that they don't have the same power as the more expensive name brands? I read a lot of reviews and these sounded like they would work for my purposes. I have 4 dogs and my grooming bill was getting to be as much as a car payment. I decided I would get a few tools and give grooming a try on at least my 2 older calmer dogs. I was really nervous the first use, but after watching several youtube videos I dived in. I am not posting a picture as my first attempt is not great looking, but that was not the clippers, it was me! I was to nervous to use clippers without a guard so my pekingnese straight fur was a little striated from the comb/guard, and I'm sure not the best technique on my part. My biggest concern these first go arounds is not to do any harm to my sweet pets as I learn. So to sum this up the clippers are great for ease of use and almost whisper quiet. They are very light and effectively removed fur, no pulling, nice and sharp. love that here is no cord in my way when I'm trying to get around my dog. My groomer did say not to expect a long life on clippers under $100, however I am only using them on a couple of my small dogs with fine fur maybe once a month to 2 months. For the price I am very happy with these clippers. If I had one negative it would be that there is not an option for more comb sizes. I would love to do my shih Tzu, but need a guard at least 1-1 1/2 inches for her fluffy teddy bear cut. However I knew buying this product it would not have that size and am ok with it. I have an 11-month-old giant schnauzer who I groom every 6 - 8 weeks, so I've used this clipper several times. It does a good job for the price. In terms of its noise level, it sounds about the same as the hair clippers and electric shaver I use for myself, so I wouldn't say it's super-quiet, but it's not loud like a lawn mower. The battery life on a full charge is OK. It lasts about 30 minutes, so I typically plug it into an extension cord for most of my grooming time. Most importantly, it cuts the hair pretty well, but it doesn't do it fast, and herein is my negative feedback. It typically requires 2, 3, or 4 passes over the same area to get all the hair cut to length, and with a large dog, that time adds up. Also, the cutting blade snags occasionally (it doesn't hurt the dog), and it pulls the blade out of alignment ever-so slightly, but it's enough that it won't cut until I shove on the blade back into its proper position. But when your dog is eager to be finished, pausing 4 or 5 times for several seconds becomes very irritating. All in all, it's a decent trimmer, and it's gotten me by for the first year of grooming. It's paid for itself 10 times over at least, but I think I'll upgrade to a nicer model now that my pup isn't a little pup any more.

Edited again 6/13/19: I decided to ask Amazon for a replacement due to my scissors in this set not being sharp, I received my replacement very quickly and tested my new set and the scissors are AWESOME! So all in all I'm going to say this is a good VALUE set, and worth the price. I've also used the clippers not only on my dog but also tried them on my son's hair and I'm very happy with them. Edited: At first glance these seemed very nice and for the price I still believe they are worth it. I'm mostly satisfied with the set and I think these will work fine for trims here and there but I feel like they might not hold up for long. I have a cavalier king Charles spaniel and she has hair everywhere, lol. Her longer hair kept getting caught and pulled between the clippers and the guard piece, and also my scissors are not sharp enough to cut more then a few hairs at a time, especially near the tip of the scissor. And The thinning sheers will not completely close and I think they might be bent. I mostly ordered for the clippers but I wish I could have used the scissors too. I wanted these to work and they do just not for a full groom, only trims here and there. Just got today, tried it on my dogs paws, very easy to use and it did a great job! Cant wait to try it for a full groom after her next bath! I'm impressed!!!

Perfect For Fursuit Making! The shavers cut through faux fur beautifully! I'm not sure in battery life since I just got them, but they run smoothly right out of the box! They're surprisingly and pleasantly quiet! I love how light weight but sturdy they are! They're not a hassle or bulky like other shavers I've used! Absolutely love this!

First, let me say that I have the best groomer EVER, however because of the shut down (and i was just laid off - first time ever) I decided that maybe I could save some money and to try to groom my sweet Abby myself, she's an 11 pound Poodle and shes just miserable right now because shes way past her grooming time. She has always had standing appointments for her hair cuts and in between i would also take her in for her (facial) face trim, because she has Chronic Dry Eye Syndrome which also means she is losing her eye sight, so i do my best to be sure that her hair is not getting into her eyes. ANYWAY, I was so happy when it arrived (it was even sooner than expected). I quickly charged it - and I was impressed with how quiet it was - i thought -- "I got this" - LOL -- So, before i got started I made sure to let Abby check it out - sniff it and look at it - then i started to actually groom her - it was so great - however, after about 1 minute she decided she did NOT like it - and I can honestly say that it was not because it was hurting her - even though she is small, she's a wiggle worm, so, that was the end of it -- she's now walking around partially groomed and looks silly, but she doesn't care :-) I believe i am going to have to invest in one of those things that the groomers use that looks like a noose and try it again - This seems to be a really great product, it came with 4 different clipper blades, a brush to clean them off and with the oil you have to use. If I had to pick ONE thing missing, it would be a pouch or something to put it in- I know that sounds picky- but honestly - it's the only suggestion I have. It's a great product, with a great price and was even delivered earlier than promised.

Sminiker consistently has the same problem, the battery. These clippers work GREAT! BUT after about a year, WITH proper use and maintenance, the rechargeable battery quickly degrades, making the clippers only cut while at full battery. Keep it plugged in during use does not help to maintain a full charge either; the battery drains quicker than it charges. I've bought multiple Sminiker clippers over the years just to replace this battery. If I could simply buy the battery again then it wouldn't be a problem...

My dog needs to be fully shaved for health purposes in the summer. She can no longer regulate her body temp. I bought these after not being able to get her appointments at the groomers. BEST THING EVER! I watched a YouTube video probably less than 5 min on shaving dogs. No one can believe I shave her she looks so good, but I know it’s not me, it’s these clippers! When I tried using the guards, it left lines in her fur, which I didn’t mind, but I really wanted as much fur off as possible to keep her cool. So I tried it with no guard and it’s perfect! The key is to shave along with the direction of the fur. It’s a little loud, but I don’t mind the noise of it at all because it works so well. I just shave as much of her body as I can while she’s standing. Then put it to charge and wait for her to sleep so I can get in for the details under her arms and belly. It was a little tricky to clean the first time, but following the directions and after a few times you get the hang of it. I don’t clean it between each use. Probably every 3-4. But now that I have these she looks amazing always! Anytime she needs it I can give her a quick trim. I still take her to the groomers, but half as much and only for a bath now and to clean up her paws. I don’t know how they shave the paws and haven’t researched that yet. She hates when I try to shave them, but doesn’t mind the rest. These are just so easy to use.
