Love how this counter top oven works…until it doesn’t anymore. First one died at 11 months. Great warranty customer service. Bought another. This one’s door randomly broke at 6 months. Still waiting for the manufacturer to follow thru on warranty claim.

    • Great value for all that it does
I love this air fryer! It is a great value. I have a ninja foodie xl that I also love but don’t really use anymore since I got this one. I’ve used the dehydrator setting a few times, bake, air crisp, toast. The only thing is baking on 350 like my traditional oven is not completely consistent. The back of the machine tends to get hotter/darker faster than the front, so when baking something I usually turn it around about half way through. The machine itself gets very hot (on top too so don’t set anything on top). I like that it is much larger than, say, an emeril oven. I can use 9x13 pans in it. Downside is there’s no light inside(not the end of the world), and the crease in the drop down door catches crumbs easily and needs cleaning often. ... show more

    • Size is misleading as is the air fry function
There isn't any difference in fan speed using air fry or turbo convection. This could be the biggest problem considering it's advertised as an air fryer. The one-speed fan looks just like the one in my old model and it's not close to how my real air fryer works. The fan does not run when preheating so it takes a long time to get up to temperature. I can completely cook something in my air fryer in the time it takes this oven just to preheat. The outside dimensions are 3"-4" less than advertised, making the interior only 14.5"D x15.5"W, so the pans that fit my older Oster model that I am replacing, do not fit this one even though both are the same size on the outside. You only get one real oven rack. The other one is mesh for what they call air frying, so nothing heavy at all can be used with it. It suggests using three pans at once in the description, but that would be impossible with only 2 racks that fit included. There is no clock like the old model but the air fryer light blinks nonstop when not in use. That blinking reminds me it's not at all like a real air fryer and a cheaper version overall than the quality model that lasted for years. ... show more

    • Flashing light is "standard"
I have used one version or another of this oven for years. This one has the flashing light upon which so many reviewers comment. You would think a company that has been around for as long as Sunbeam/Oster would understand that just about ANY flashing light means that some kind of user interaction is required. This light is extremely annoying because I cannot NOT see it every time I go in my kitchen. So, I ordered one of those little doohickies that plug into the electric socket that has a built-in on/off switch. Now, every time I use my oven, I simply flip the switch on that device and the oven is ready to use. Aside from this, I am fairly happy with the oven although it is somewhat difficult to clean, as other reviewers have mentioned, and the temperature does fluctuate more than I would like. (To aid in cleaning, I line the bottom of mine with a silicone oven mat.) The toaster on all my previous Oster ovens always put out great toast when set on 4 (which is the default) -- I used that setting on this oven and I had two pieces of black cardboard that were so burned they couldn't even be scraped off. So now I have to remember to set it on 3, and even that produces toast that is pretty dark. Not burned, but pretty dark and a bit dry. But at 2, the toast is not toasted enough, so I have just learned to live with it like this. And, of course the oven does get very hot, as others have mentioned, but I expect that from just about any toaster oven I have ever used, so this isn't really an issue -- just something about which you should be aware so you don't touch it or place anything on top of it that could be damaged by high heat. On the plus side, I like this toaster oven mostly because it is the largest I have seen. I can actually use a full-size pizza pan to make a 16" pizza. As far as I can tell, this toaster oven is the only one that can do that. So, even with all of the disadvantages, I still keep coming back to this oven and I pass my old ones down to my kids. One of my kids still has a version of this oven that must be, oh my goodness, at least 12 or 15 years old and it just keeps chugging along. In this world of planned obsolescence and throw-away junk, it is not every toaster oven that has that kind of longevity. ... show more

    • Great all round
Recently our oven broke and while we waited for parts there was a need to have an oven for things larger than the air fryer we had could hold. This combination is perfect, cooks a frozen pizza if we need to, can roast chicken (parts, haven't tried a whole bird yet) and works. On the down side the door gets blazing hot, you have to constantly remind everyone to not place things on top that may catch fire or melt and to keep hands from the door. Oh and the cable is very short making it very hard to place due to it's size (as big as a large microwave). Still my favorite air fryer oven combo.. ... show more

    • This Oster oven is HOT STUFF!
We have using it for almost a week now and we LOVE it! Great big size, so we can fit a 9 x 13 casserole pan and large pizzas. Our previous Oster oven died and we bought this one. The size is about the same, but it dehydrates (didn’t try), air fries (didn’t try yet), roasts, bakes and more. The price was higher, but it does so many things and It is a nice quality metal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Came in a few days and thought the box was huge; it is not heavy. Get one! ... show more
