When I unwrapped this jacket, my first thought was to return it. It was a wrinkled mess. That said, I put it on a hanger and let the wrinkles fall out on their own. I tried it on a few times, with and without layers underneath. The more I did that, I grew to love the tidiness of the design—front and back. It has a very nice weight and the material quality holds up in a light drizzle. Easy to button and the buttons aren’t coming loose at the drop of a hat. It’s a lightweight trench coat so I didn’t buy it for snowy weather. The black color is practical and the length hits me below the knees (5’4”). Easy to get in and out of the car. I thought I might miss having a zipper but I don’t. I’m glad I kept it! Am impressed with Orolay. I bought one of their puffy jackets too.

I bought 4 of these in beige and black (M and L). I had to return them because they are Poly and too warm, I needed a more breathable, lighter fabric (spring/summer weight). But I liked the quality. The black was deep, the beige very nuetral. Fabric is soft, smooth, seems like it would repel water well. These coats were fully lined and well sewn. If I were looking for a fall/winter single breasted trench, these would have worked out well. They were 2 inches longer (past the knee) than the 100% cotton Mac coat I bought from another retailer, but I didn't find them to be excessively long like other trenches. The Orolay coat did need to off gas, unlike the cotton Mac I got, but once hung up for a coat of days the chemical smell wasn't strong.

Beautiful great quality. I needed a jacket for overseas travel. This one is perfect, it’s water resistant and heavy for a bit of warmth. I’m going where it is windy so it will be perfect. A windbreaker with some elegance. I got a great price too. I didn’t want belts and shoulder flap like some outer coats I’ve seen. Its simple lines really appealed to me. LOVE it, can’t wait to wear it. It does arrive wrinkled but they come out easy. I normally wear a large, however I bought the xl for layering fit perfect!! . I’m 5.5 and weight about 150 with a bigger chest.

I already own two Orolay coats and when I saw this trench coat, evocative of similar coats from Theory, I felt it would be a safe bet. Orolay has provided fashionable and well constructed coats at a reasonable price point so I waited until the small came back in stock and was excited to be able to order. I ordered in the Khaki and the actual color of the coat is a bit darker and more dull than the picture provided. I absolutely could have tolerated this minor difference. However the cut of the coat is very strange. It fit well on top in the shoulders and arms but flared out on the bottom, was huge and not stylish. I usually wear a medium (5'5'' and 135) but even the small was too much material for me. Three stars because it is was lined, water proof and well constructed but the pictures make it seem more fashion forward than it is in person.
