The media could not be loaded. This jacket kept the chill off on my recent summit of St.Helens — even in the wind and snowy conditions! The quality was perfect for the event and I got compliments on the color — it’s more of a coral red in person which I love! This shell is a great value for the price, as mountaineering gear can get expensive quickly! The jacket has cinches on it the side so that it’s not boxy if you’d prefer a more flattering fit — or if you’re layering underneath, you can by loosening the band.     • Larger than other North Face rain jackets that I have. Nice color.

This is shaped differently from the more hour glass North Face jackets that I have so it is less flattering with more fabric in the middle like an apple. I have mediums in my other jackets but the medium in this was too large and I ordered a small which fit well. The pockets are nice but they are indeed placed oddly toward the back. If you have long arms, the sleeves might be too short. The fabric is comfortable and the color is great. I really like highly visible colors in order to be seen by cars and bikes. The one I received was not in acceptable condition which is too bad because I would have kept it. ... show more
