  • A+ Ultra Packable Waterproof Windbreaker
For sizing, I'm a 36" bust, 29.5" waist. I bought the small in green in August 2020. I wanted a packable shell for my go-bag. Fit is perfect around my waist. A tiny bit baggy around the bust, but still really flattering. I feel like sleeves are a tad long, but Velcroed tight, it looks fine. In November 2020, I bought a medium in moon gray to use on my daily power walks. Color is on the lavender side of gray. It's fit is just a little bigger than the small, with enough space for a thick fleece jacket layer underneath. Reviews are what helped me make the purchase, so I'd like to share my experience as I think it would be helpful. I've seen reviews of people who were wet after using the jacket in the rain, so I'm including my experience with that also. While wearing the jacket, the packable hood is super easy to unfurl, and just as easy to roll back into the collar. Our Northern New England winter has already begun, so I've been able to test using this as a windbreaker shell. I've been able to go out in windy 14 degrees with a thin base layer and a thick fleece hoodie underneath this jacket, and been warm enough. I actually get a little overheated half way through the walk, but unzipping the pockets (which are its "vents") and the main zipper does help cool me down. One warning! Because it traps body heat so well, it also traps moisture! I have one picture of the inside of the back of jacket after a walk. Needless to say this is not a breathable Gore-tex jacket, so it's to be expected. When I tried the first jacket on in the summer, it did start to get sticky wearing it on my bare skin, so if you live in a warmer climate, this feature might get annoying. As for waterproofness, I've been out in the pouring rain a few times and come home dry -except if I've been sweating. The rain water just beads up on the jacket. Being that it wicks my sweat on the interior, I decided to performed a test in the shower to be sure about its waterproofness. After about 5 minutes of showering my arm, you can see that indeed the inside of my sleeve is bone dry. This jacket is very packable. You'll find in one of the hand pockets, there's a double zipper. Turn that pocket inside out, and feed the jacket body into the pocket/sack. Zips shut. You can search the web to find a video showing it, but it's very easy and quick to do. The packed-down size is 5"h x 9"w, and as flat as an inch thick. ... show more

  • Columbia Rain Jacket Womens
Color: Black Size: 3X
I am 5'7"... 38DDD and usually wear a 14/16 or 0x/1x. I purchased this jacket in a 3x because I wanted to CERTAIN I could wear with sweaters and I wanted it to be longer... It is huge. I will wear it and enjoy it... but I could have done the 1 or 2x I think. I've included some pics to help. I chose the black. It is VERY light - not lined. The pockets are side slash, with zipper closures - the lining of the pockets is a mesh material. The hood is hidden in a velcro'd collar flap - the hood itself has elastic pull cords. There is a Columbia logo on the left upper chest. The sleeves are very long - and have velcro's strips to adjust fit around your wrist. Because I purchased the really huge size, the jacket falls well below my back end. All of that is ok with me! The washing instructions say cold water, powdered detergent, , wash separately - Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low. Do NOT use fabric softener and Do NOT dry clean. Lists 100% nylon - except mesh... 100% polyester. I haven't worn it in a rain storm yet, but it looks like it will work well for Spring in Oregon. Having said all of that, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful and I hope this review was helpful to you. ... show more

  • Lovely color , nice wind breaker
Color: Cactus Pink Size: Large
I absolutely love the color it’s vibrant and easily visible . It blocks wind well and I personally layer with a hoodie underneath if I’m cold . When it comes to rain I haven’t had a hard enough rain to really test it out but with a light drizzle it worked well . Sleeve length is a bit long but I did go a size up as recommended and everything else fits well. ... show more

  • Great Rain Jacket for Curvy Girls!
TO be honest I was a bit skeptical with this jacket. Many reviews mentioned it wasn't water resistant and it didn't fit correctly. I decided to take a chance as I needed a light rain coat to take to Japan. Little did I know that a GIANT storm was rolling in before we left. I got a chance to try it out in a Texas Thunderstorm.. Which if you haven't heard are massive! First the fit. I am 5'11. size 18/20, 42D, with really curvy hips. The jacket fit great! It was a tad tight around my hips but still very comfortable. I am able to put another sweatshirt underneath and still feel comfortable. Now for the functionality. I wore this for 2 days in the pouring rain and didn't get wet once! It also did a great job shielding the wind. The hood tucks nicely in the collar and is easy to put in and out. I work in emergency services and it is imperative to have a jacket that is waterproof for crazy storms that pop up. Very light weight and super easy to throw in my purse just in case. ... show more

  • Will do for summer gardening when rain threatens or is starting to fall
Color: Dark Nocturnal Size: Large
Ordered on March 22 and received today April 4, 2021 (Easter Sunday, though I am not a Prime member). Size: Large. Color: Dark Nocturnal (the cheapest). I paid only $24.98 for it but the label attached to the one I received reads: $60.00, and I can't imagine who would pay $60 for this jacket, even with the name "Columbia" on it. I tried it on today, wearing a woolen pullover over a cotton mock-turtleneck, with a cotton undershirt (the weather gets warmer in the afternoon, but it is not summer yet (and I have 'age-related' rheumatism). I assume the jacket will fit right when I wear it over only a T-shirt; if not, it gets donated. If you plan to buy one, first decide whether you want it for spring or for summer. [Additional information: I am 5'3", and my current weight is 148 lbs; I wear jeans size 14 in winter and size 12 in summer. Tops: size Medium, i.e. size 10 or 12 at the shoulders for a woven shirt (as opposed to knits). -- I hope this helps you.] Note also that the jacket has an attached hood (which I plan to cut off neatly unless, of course, I donate it.) --- Later, same day: I took off my woolen sweater and tried the jacket again: it fits at the shoulders, and the sleeves are right. However, it is far too tight at the hips; even after taking off my size-14 jeans, I had trouble closing the zipper (and I do not intend to go out in my underwear). My best bet: check local stores where I can try clothes on before buying them; this jacket, I am sure, will delight whomever buys it from the Purple Heart store, as long as she is really skinny. ... show more

  • Performs perfectly!!
Purchased this as a lightweight item for a recent trip to southern Europe in February. This rain jacket was incredible. We had one day of significant downpour and it kept me completely dry! I really liked the simple way the hood cinched and stayed in place, and the small visor on the hood worked really well. On other days we experienced wind and fluctuating temperatures. This jacket served as a great final layer to help stop colder winds. The jacket folds up into itself - part of the mesh lining on the back of a pocket. It was easy to stuff into my day bag or to tie to anything. Best purchase in a long time and I expect will serve me well for years. ... show more
