Don't let mother nature plan your day. Built with a waterproof breathable membrane and waterproof seams, the shoreline is ready to work during the rainiest of days. Made from 4.8-ounce, 100 percent nylon with a storm defender waterproof breathable membrane with 100 percent polyester mesh lining in body and 100 percent nylon taffeta lining in sleeves. It also has fully taped seams, a detachable three-piece hood and an adjustable hem both with drawcord and barrel lock adjusters, two-way zipper with snap-front storm placket, two front pockets with zipper closures, two lower-front pockets with flaps and snaps and zipper-secured side entry and two interior pockets, articulated elbows for ease of movement, hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and interior storm cuffs with thumbhole. Its drop-tail adds coverage (31.5 inches), offers triple-stitched main seams for durability and it replaces 101409.

This jacket is great. It has sleeves that are actually long enough, the extra length in the rear helps keep your bum dry when you lean or sit on stuff outside, and the hood is shaped in a way that stays up even when I have my hair up in a messy bun or pony tail. I found it to be warm (it’s not a winter coat, but awesome all the way down to 35°F). When I layered one of my heavier sweater fleeces under it it was good for a little winter weather too. I wore this on assignment (photographer) our on a lobster boat and I was warm and dry at the end of the day. The snap pockets are nice, and the durability is great. I didn’t cringe when I scraped up against stuff or worry I’d snag or rip my new coat. It’s a Carhartt jacket - and you can use it like one! It’s a welcome addition to my Carhartt collection. I absolutely love this cute coat!! I found it in our local farm supply store for $150, and wanted to buy it sooooooo bad, but bought my son a birthday present instead... darn kids! LOL! I came home and looked on Amazon and found it! New it was $129, and I happened to see there was a used one for $89 so I jumped on it! It came perfectly packaged, still had tags on it and was in perfect condition! I have no idea what was used about it, but I sure am happy with this purchase!! As for the coat--it is excellent quality that you would expect from Carhartt! Very nice heavier quality and I know will last forever. I bought the XL, and I am 5:6 and 170lbs, and it fits perfect! Maybe just a titch too big, but otherwise perfect! I wanted it to come down far enough to cover my stomach, which it does, but just barely, that is the only thing I wish was just a few inches longer. It comes down to the bottom of my zipper on my jeans, the back is a bit longer. I love the end of the sleeves, they have a stretchy material with a thumb hole that will prevent cold air from going up the sleeve. This coat has pockets all over! If you need more pockets than this coat has, you either have too much junk, or need to get a huge purse! :) I got the dark wine color, and it is a beautiful plum/dark brownish color, not a bright obnoxiously loud color, but a very pretty earthy plum color. I was torn btw the olive green and the wine, but got the wine and love it! Wish I could afford both! :) I could not be happier with this coat and I highly recommend it! It is replacing my winter coat, and I live in northern Wisconsin so temps get way way way below 0, and this will keep me warm, and keep out the wind! The hood is perfect too!! This jacket has not disappointed. Purchased to wear in Ireland during November and it handled rain, wind and cooler weather wonderfully. The jacket is heavier than a pack-away raincoat shell, and fit in my backpack fine when not in use. During cooler weather, I wore base layers and a fleece pullover underneath and kept warm and dry. The jacket does not look like a raincoat, which is the look I was hoping for. I recommend this jacket for early spring and fall. ... show more

    • Excellent jacket but for one tiny detail...

I love this rain jacket. I've had it since 2019. It's comfortable to wear except for one tiny detail...it is NOT breathable. At least it's not if you're doing anything physical. If you're just wearing it to do your daily stuff, it's fine. But I brought it to Europe this summer as my rain jacket, and I sweated like crazy in it. Central Europe is like the east coast--humid as well as hot. Perhaps, to be fair, the black color absorbed the heat. Everything else on this jacket is great! I prefer it to other brands because of the metal double zipper (that won't come apart when you bend over) and the multiple pockets. There's one inner pocket that has a hook&loop closure that's annoying, because you no sooner have it open to put something in there and it closes again. I also like and use the nylon cuffs that extend and hook over your thumbs on cooler days keeping the drafts out. So, IMHO this rain jacket is not for summer heat. ... show more

Bought the coat for my mom who is notorious about not finding what she likes! I received the coat rather quickly, and it was exactly as described. Carhartt makes excellent products and this coat didnt let me down. I was concerned because it says plus size, and my mom is a petite woman. The title is wordered a little confusing, they offer plus sizes, however they do carry the regular sizes as well. The fit runs a little on the small side, I believe we ordered the large because obviously it needs to go over top your clothes, she was worried it would be to big but it fit perfectly. It's water proof and has a detachable hood. She loves it and I definitely would purchase this coat again. ... show more

My wife loves this jacket. It’s warm and does an insane job of keeping you dry even in the craziest of storms. Wind proof as well so it doesn’t go right through the jacket. The lining is this sort of hybrid like material that wicks sweat off of you and still manages to keep you warm and dry.
