  • Great jacket for spring and fall
Color: Black Size: Large
It fits great, ordered a large, I’m 5’4” 159lbs. I had on a light sweater, hoodie sweatshirt and this jacket was still roomy. It kept me dry in light rain and I love all of the pockets! Carhartt makes quality clothing, the material is durable, not afraid to wear it to construction sites but looks nice enough for everyday wear. I hope it lasts as long as my other winter Carhartt, which is 23 years old ;) ... show more

  • Amazing rain coat and so cute!
I was cautiously hopeful about this rain jacket and it did not disappoint. The price hurt a bit, but I can honestly say it's worth every penny, as one would expect from a Carhartt. It fits true to size. I was worried, as some reviews said it was tight around the hips and butt, but I don't find it to be at all. I'm 5'8", a size 12 and I'd say I'm fairly bottom heavy. I can easily zip the jacket and it's loose around my hips. It does cover my butt which I wondered about as I'm somewhat tall. A couple reviews also said the jacket is not cute, but gets the job done. I disagree!! I think it's SO cute, and I've gotten so many compliments. I do love a yellow rain coat, it's a classic! I will say, that the stock puc is not an accurate color example. The Yellowstone color looks a bit brown in the photos...sort of a Dijon mustard color...it's much more yellow IRL. I love it though. The vents are great, as well as the wrist cuffs with thumb holes. The hood is ample and can cover my head and snap even with my over ear headphones on. I'm completely pleased with this jacket and highly recommend! ... show more

  • Nice jacket, but still Carhartt!
Color: Black Size: Large
This is a high-quality, extremely well made and designed all-around jacket but I'm still considering returning it. Why? Because I fell in love with a previous version of this one that a friend has, and that earlier version was made out of Gore-Tex and had an amazing luxe sheen without sacrificing functionality. You can take it from the slopes to the fishing boat to the theatre. (We're Alaska girls, these things sometimes happen all on the same day.) This fabric is decidedly more "flat" and is more in line with expected rougher Carhartt fabrics. This design is great, though, and the construction is impeccable. I ordered a large and it says size 14-16 and I think this is accurate. It is roomy enough for layers without being too bulky. The storm cuffs, numerous roomy pockets, detachable hood, long "tail" to cover butt, and a complete lack of velcro (i HATE velcro) make this a winner. It does NOT have any vents, so it won't breathe well if you're planning to be extremely athletic in it, but it does have a great liner and it's a perfect weight—not too heavy, not too light. DIY insulating layers for warmth, which is how I prefer it. I just miss the sheen of the Gore-Tex and though I'm sure this fabric performs great, it just doesn't have the same luxe-feel. The exposed snaps at the top and bottom are also covered in some kind of plastic polymer stuff, which I'm sure is practical but again...not pretty. Overall very good value. I might still keep it. ... show more

  • A perfect jacket
This jacket is perfect in every way. It fits like a dream, looks great, and performs beautifully. It just feels good on. It makes all my other rain jackets seem pitiful in comparison. Its light but substantial enough to wear as an everyday jacket in the fall and spring. I love the quality of Carhartt and this jacket does not disappoint. I also love that I can always order a size large no matter what piece of Carhartt clothing I am buying and it always fits perfect. For reference, I am 5'4 and 130 lbs. I like clothes loose but not baggy. In this brand, a large always fits exactly as I like. ... show more

  • Great Spring and Fall Go To Jacket
Color: Black Size: Large
This jacket has not disappointed. Purchased to wear in Ireland during November and it handled rain, wind and cooler weather wonderfully. The jacket is heavier than a pack-away raincoat shell, and fit in my backpack fine when not in use. During cooler weather, I wore base layers and a fleece pullover underneath and kept warm and dry. The jacket does not look like a raincoat, which is the look I was hoping for. I recommend this jacket for early spring and fall. ... show more

  • Snug but a great jacket
I got an XL in another, padded Carhartt jacket, which was massive on me. I returned it and got this one instead. It's very snug, but I still like it. Its got ample shoulder room and that's a bug problem for me in jackets usually. It's got great features, like two inside pockets, side and top hand pockets, a removable hood with drawstrings and thumb holes on the sleeves of the liner. I'll size up when I buy it again after this one wears out, but it doesn't look like that will be any time soon. ... show more

  • Deep maroon color. Perfect fit, but…
I was concerned about the color being too light (because I wanted an actual maroon shade). This fit the bill…definitely a deep maroon. As for the fit, I got a large in the deep wine shade and it’s perfect. I’m 5’ 6”, 150 lb, 42-36-43. I have a wide back and shoulders and was able to bring my arms totally forward with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath. While I haven’t tried it with anything thicker than that, I’m leery that might be too confining for me personally. Someone with a narrower back and shoulders might be fine with a sweater or sweatshirt under it. My arms are average size in circumference and I didn’t feel the sleeves were too tight at all. The sleeves were also plenty long enough which is unusual, because my arms are long. It was not fitted at the waist, which is fine because I need room to be able to fill up all of the pockets (of which there are plenty of deep ones). The 2 upper exterior chest zippered pockets might not provide room for anything but thin or flat objects for a 42” or similar chest, but all others are great. I especially liked the large inside Velcro pocket for enclosing a phone and the double exterior hip pockets. Each side had not only large flap pockets, but behind those were zippered angle pockets just right for putting your hands in while walking without involving the flap covered ones. My torso length is average and the length of the coat was enough to cover my behind for sitting. While the bottom is comfortable for hips up to 43-44 inches, it likely won’t accommodate anything larger. I was able to sit in it completely zipped without it being too tight. The lining of the body is a thin polyester perforated mesh, but the lining of the hood and sleeves are a solid thin polyester—not a fleece at all. While the exterior cloth may provide some protection from significant cold (I have not tested either that or rain yet.), I would likely reserve this coat for a milder temperature outside—no colder than 45 degrees…but clearly individual preference may differ. That said, it is neither too bulky nor too warm for sitting inside an arena with tight seating, which was a key requirement. The only thing I would have preferred to be different is a metal zipper, instead of the plastic one provided. I feel like this coat will last a long time and would prefer the zipper to last as long as the coat. It does, however, have snaps that cover the zipper, so if the zipper should fail, the coat is still usable. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would recommend it highly. ... show more

  • Perfect fit
Color: Black Size: Large
Size down if not wanting to layer other hoodies and thermals. Great, lightweight fit but still warm. Lining is perfect, cute style as well!
