Bought the coat for my mom who is notorious about not finding what she likes! I received the coat rather quickly, and it was exactly as described. Carhartt makes excellent products and this coat didnt let me down. I was concerned because it says plus size, and my mom is a petite woman. The title is wordered a little confusing, they offer plus sizes, however they do carry the regular sizes as well. The fit runs a little on the small side, I believe we ordered the large because obviously it needs to go over top your clothes, she was worried it would be to big but it fit perfectly. I LOVE this jacket. I work in construction and need something to keep my dry on the rainy days. Well made, keeps me dry and is super comfortable. Not too lightweight and not too heavy. Love that is has the thumb holes! Plenty of pockets also. Length is nice, covers the rear completely. I absolutely LOVE this coat. I got it in black after reading the reviews that the green one had a pink lining. I ordered this for my spring trip to Ireland and it was awesome. I really like the cuffs with the thumb holes, but they don't get in the way if you don't want to wear them. This coat isn't very warm, but it is pretty wind resistant, so that helps a lot with the chill. The hood is spacious enough to have my hair in a pony tail and still extend past my face a little bit to keep my glasses dry. There are two pockets on the outside of the coat - one has a flap on the front, the other is behind that one with a side opening. The outer pocket with the flap doesn't seem to be very waterproof. I had my phone in that pocket and it got wet, but I just switched it to an inner pocket and it stayed nice and dry. I'm on the shorter side at 5'2" but have a long torso, and this covered my bum almost completely. It was comfortable and easy to move in for horseback riding, hiking and kayaking, even with a sweatshirt under it. I might've fit in the size small, but I wanted to be able to layer underneath it so I wouldn't have to pack 2 coats. It's a little more expensive than I had originally wanted to spend, but it was well worth it. ... show more

I am 5' 7" and about 140 pounds and the medium fits perfect. I have worn it without other layers and with a lightweight jacket and a heavier sweater underneath without it feeling tight or super loose. We do not get super heavy rain often where I live, but the few times it has rained it has kept me 100% dry and warm. All the pockets are a huge plus for when I am at work because I can carry everything I need and not run out of pocket space.
