I’ve been searching and searching for a rain-proof, wind resistant trench that will keep my dry and add a little warmth when out and about in windy, rainy weather. I also wanted it to be well-made, with a liner. I think I may have finally found it! While not heavy, this trench is also not paper thin like some others I’ve considered. The fabric is nice and doesn’t feel like it will make that “zsh-zsh-zsh” sound every time I move. It has a nicely made belt, belt straps, well-placed pockets and buttons, and a useful hood. It’s designed so you can leave the top button open so it looks like a nice lapel, or if it’s cold you can button the top button so you’re warm all the way to your chin. I initially ordered a size up from my usual size based on reviews since I plan to wear layers under it for warmth but the larger size ended up being much too big so I’ve ordered my usual size which I think will work better. Update: The 3xl (my normal size) arrived and it fits perfectly even with a shirt and a cardigan beneath it. This item runs true to size for me. I also did a quick water test by sprinkling some water onto the jacket and it beaded and ran right off, so all good there! 2nd update: I wore this all during my vacation out and about in rainy weather almost every day. I loved that I could button it up to my chin and yes, it kept me dry. Still not the warmest, but it was fine with a scarf and layers in 40 degree F rainy weather. I have not bought a coat in years and I live in Indiana. I hate wearing coats. I decided I would buy one this year because I don't work from home anymore. A girl at work recommended this coat to me. I am a thick girl so I didn't want anything to bulky because I do need to look any heavier than I am. This is a light weight jacket but it breaks the wind and it's moisture resistant. I almost didn't open the package. Since I have another raincoat, I thought I didn't really need it and would end up returning it. But it pleasantly surprised me with how well the coat seems to be made and the features (nice fabric and lining, hood, belt) and the look of it is polished and tailored. I ordered a size up to accommodate layers underneath. It may be a bit too roomy, but I'll take it over too snug. Looking forward to wearing it in rainy Lisbon soon. Nice coat, fits well. But it's dirty with white particles all over the inside lining. As if it's been worn and returned. I'll keep it and wash it. But I wouldn't buy from this seller again.
