To see how it responds to a workout, I assembled it and jumped on it. The bench is simple to install, fold up, and pop up for use, and it's reasonably priced. It's not a couch, but it's also not a park bench, so it fulfills its function as intended, and the padding is adequate. It worked nicely for my training; I used the bench to perform some crunches and chest workouts. You can also complete the exercises in the booklet that comes with it. This bench will work just fine for what I need. I work out at home in my living room with dumbbells. It’s pretty sturdy but I don’t think it’s going to hold much more weight than I am. Really good especially for the price. The back rest is slightly wobbly when using heavy weights at an incline but it doesn't feel like its going to break or anything. I also love that you can put the back rest on a lower setting than the lowest 'spot' for lack of a better word. Best situps ever.
