For the price this frame feels sufficient enough for the purposes I needed to give my son a better sleeping set up. The old style of the metal frame with wheels is not a useful nor tolerable way to get a good nights sleep. For anyone who tosses and turns during the night you need a bed frame that will stay in place. I didn't have a big budget to spend and this was decently priced and it was easy enough to assemble but recommend you follow the good directions they included. The directions were clear and easy to navigate. Any mistakes made were easy to correct. My only concern is if you are using a driver/drill to tighten the bolts into the legs to be cautious on the tork strength as the wood is softer than I expected. I have joint pain so using the tiny tools they include is not at all feasible for me. Get a drill and save yourself the strain and pain. It speeds things up for sure. As for fit and sturdiness I feel this frame is more than adequate. Also the person using the bed is an average height and healthy weight. If someone is quite large or obese I'm not sure this would be the frame to go with. Other than that I found this frame excellent for the mattress I purchase through Amazon as well. ... show more

I should’ve read reviews before purchasing but just needed something quick. Will not be finishing assembling as I can tell it will already be not stable enough. One of the middle legs doesn’t reach the ground, the middle bar with the three legs is not secured at all, even though I have tightened the screws all the way. Multiple holes were stripped, also leading to instability. I would try to return but reading the reviews now it sounds like even that would be a pain in the butt as well.     • Sturdy budget level bed frame
Waffling between 3&4 ⭐. First, I got this queen size bed frame for $99. That's a bargain. It was very simple to put together, I was able to complete it in about an hour. It's sturdy. The weight limit on the slats says 800lbs. That's a lot of pounds so, again ,sturdy. It is a good height also. The middle support brace doesn't quite touch the floor which could make you think something is off but it actually helps to let the frame give just a bit when you sit or lay on it. I have a Japanese futon mattress and the first platform bed I bought for it had the middle brace touching the floor and you could definitely feel the brace when you laid in the middle. With this one, it gives just slightly and makes the mattress much more comfortable. Now for the negative and the reason I'm not quite sure it reaches a 4 star. None of the hardware went in to the same level. Some tightened down well before others. Didn't impact the sturdiness but just not quite right. Also, some of the holes were slightly off so you had to jiggle and maneuver to get the screws seated in. The slats are rough finished and could potentially cause damage to the mattress if you aren't careful. Also, the color. Lordy mercy. It says wood color. It's orange. Like Trump spray tan orange. Yeesh! So this is a very sturdy budget level bed frame. And it was $99. I'd definitely recommend it but ... it's orange. 😆 ... show more

This is a good bed frame for the price but there were some issues we had when putting it together. First, the slats were not straight on many boards so when you lay it on the frame, some slats didn’t fit well. We had to force it down which was kind of frightening because it felt like the boards were going to break. Second, the cuts on the support pieces were not even. The middle section that has the legs attached to provide middle support, had three legs with varying lengths. Once we screwed it on, one was touching the floor slightly while the other two were not. We couldn’t do anything about it. The last thing we’re the boards which were warped so when the rectangle frame was set up, you had a side that was touching but another corner that was slightly lifted. The frame is cheap and once you put it together, you can make do with it, but it’s not a bed frame that feels like it will last or if it was manufactured with care.     • Creamsicle wood color and Funky smell
If you want a bed frame for the sake of having one this one works perfectly fine. However, be wary of the color and the smell. The color of the wood is less “natural” and more “creamsicle” or “pale orange.” The wood has a sticker on it (forgot to photograph) that there have been complaints of the smell of formaldehyde (yikes! Why?). So clearly I did not do enough research before purchasing). Set up was fairly simple however the legs that aligned to the center of the bedframe are too short. When I installed them they “hovered” over the floor and made adjusting the center beam complicated because it twisted and rotated. Save your money and skip. Others are super pricey but as they say “cry once. Buy once” Please skip this item and search for a better one ... show more
