When I moved into my new apartment I had a really difficult time adjusting to the hard mineral water. My scalp got red bumps, wouldn't stop itching, and even my skin became irritated. I bought this shower head after trying numerous methods to fix the solution and this is the one that worked! Not only did it help increase the pressure of my shower head, but it also resolved all of my skin issues. I also appreciate how you can turn off the shower head to save water with the "stop" button. Overall highly recommend is you need a solution to hard water, or just want to try a new shower head. Make sure to have a hose attachment on hand, I bought the handle and thankfully has a spare hose lying around. *I also found it to be incredibly useful with cleaning my shower as well!

This is the best I've been able to find, but it's not quite perfect. First, the entire thing is made out of plastic, including the threaded portion that screws into the feed hose. I have no doubt this is going to break with regular use - the question is simply how long it will last and will that be determined acceptable or not. As for the performance: The pressure, for me, is great in either Rainfall or Jet mode. The "massage" mode, which is simply putting the selector in the middle between the two options (and quite difficult to do while in the shower, as the lever simply has two selections and putting it in "massage" mode requires you to balance it in between both, which is not a simple task), leaves both feeling under powered. The Jet mode is very powerful, but the problem (for me, maybe not for you) is that it does not fan out in diameter AT ALL. It's like a pressure washer. This is perfect for cleaning your tub or jetting certain parts of your body, but is inadequate for enjoying an entire shower. It's no biggie, because you can quickly alternate between that and the rainfall mode. As far as the little beads gimmick - I do believe I could feel some slickness on my skin after showering that is not apparent when using my other shower, so maybe there is something there. That's not why I bought the shower head, though, and I won't be replacing them every month or two, or whatever the directions say. Anyway, I don't regret my purchase, but I'm still on the hunt for the perfect high powered handheld jet for my main shower.

I had no idea what I was missing b4 I found this new showerhead. Our old one was on its last leg so I hopped on Amazon and pretty much bought the first thing I saw that could be delivered quickly. I had no clue abt the beads inside or what they did. I had also never had a showerhead that came with a shut-off button to save water. Anyhow, the beads made the water seem a lot cleaner on my skin. The spray was such that I didn't feel like my skin was being blasted off! I don't know how else to describe the experience except to say that this is, hands down, the best shower experience I have ever had. Whoever came up with this idea should be "knighted"!!
