When you use the set buttons to set the time, the beeps are extremely loud. The battery backup would not work. Very simple yet functional Desk Clock. My mom needed she could turn and look for the time. It had a large display snd is easy to read. It has an AC cable, not USB powered! Recommend this as a simple, straightforward clock.

It's bright and easy to read but there's no way to flip the orientation of the projection unlike the projection clock that I had before. So unfortunately, if I project the time onto the ceiling or onto the wall opposite the clock like I wanted to, the time is upside down

The clock works great. Love the design and look BUT one thing they should’ve added to it features. If you place the clock on the headboard of your bed the the projected time will display on the ceiling so when you wake up, all you have to do is look up. Well, the display shows on the ceiling as if you’re looking directly at the clock. There should be a setting to have the display change to reverse or mirror image so that you can read it. I bought this particular clock to use as a travel clock to use in hotels. It’s absolutely perfect for this. Recommend highly.
