  • Works like I expected.
Color: White
I was hesitant to try these fridge thermometers because of the mixed reviews. I am very familiar with the operation of these type of devices that communicate/pair with each other so I decided to give them a try. I bought two. Setting them up was easy and on the bench the temps read within 1 deg of all 3 sensors, the remotes and the base unit. I let them sit for a day. They were near other temp devices of a different Brand name. All worked perfect. Installed one in my shop fridge and it has been operational for a week and I see no anomolies. The other one I installed in my Camper, one sensor in the Lithium battery compartment and the other exposed to protected from moisture outside air. Working perfect. The display is a bit dim in low light like others have said. That is ok with me. The other MFG's thermometers that I have are the same way, maybe not quite as dim. The Magnets hold the base unit quite well I currently have 5 other MFG thermometers running around our home and property. I do not use the alarms on any of them. I do pay attention to the base units. Battery install sequence. Go to a place away from any other devices that communicate like these units. 50' away is enough. Check your battery voltages before installing them. 1.6+ volts! If not get another. I use good alkaline batteries like Duracell etc. Never have had an issue with the freezer section of my fridges and freezers. Batteries into the base unit first. Check that the display is on. Install batteries in one sensor. Within about 2 seconds the red led should flash. The Base unit should display the temp of that sensor. If it does not... Remove the batteries from both and wait about 30 seconds and repeat the sequence. If all is ok then do the other sensor. I will return and re-review if I have an issue with these units. I like the price! Jim. ... show more

  • Works Great
Color: Grey
It works great but the transmitters have a very short range. Maybe 10 ft.

  • Great little refrigerator thermometer
Color: White
I bought this for use in our RV so I could keep an eye on how well the fridge and freezer were working, and I have been very happy with it. The 2 senders each use 2 AA batteries and the display unit uses 2 AAA batteries. The batteries last a very long time and I have been using the same ones for well over a year. The senders have a good range so I can locate the display unit anywhere in the RV, and the sending unit has a magnetic back so I can stick it up next to any metal that can hold a magnet and not worry about it. The displays seem accurate enough and displays in both F and C, depending upon your setting. There is also an alarm if the temperatures get too low and a clear button that allows you to erase the history information. All in all this is a very nice fridge thermometer for the price. ... show more

  • My Apologies: Bad package of batteries
Color: Grey
I had a package of batteries and half of them were completely dead and the others were fine, I checked the batteries with my voltmeter and they were good, but I should have checked all of them. My bad, I ended up buying a unit that was twice as much, I am sorry this unit did not work for me, it was my fault. Sorry ... show more

  • Smaller than expected, but range is good and it gets the job done
Color: White
UPDATE (12/6/2020): have barely had this unit 2 weeks (purchased 11/20/20) and now one of the sensors constantly blinks 3 dashes every few seconds, and then a temp readout. Batteries are new. Will attempt to send unit back as it is clearly defective, but I threw away the box. We'll see what happens... Picked this up to monitor temps in a basement chest freezer. Main unit is kept one floor up in a timber-built home (there is an unfinished basement ceiling separating the two floors). Range seems solid - transmitters are able to report to the main unit through the steel freezer, one floor up. Total distance is less than 30 feet of separation. Accuracy seems good, though I have not tested these against a professionally calibrated control thermometer. Displays are somewhat easy to read - there is no backlight option. I placed both wireless thermometers in my freezer to see how close they'd read from one another - they seem to be < +/- 1 degree from one another, which is a very good thing for something so affordable. Using these did allow me to realize my chest freezer was NOT safely keeping food at 0F or below (recommended by the USDA), so I cranked up my freezer control to just below the highest setting to achieve a consistent -3F within 24 hours. More disappointed in my chest freezer (which I only bought 6 months ago) than these wireless thermometers! Overall, these are a very good deal for the price being asked. Are they super basic? Yes. Is the build quality top notch? No. But it's not like these are being thrown around. If I had any complaint, it's that the main display is smaller than I expected. Still, I'll keep them. Magnets on rear of main unit are very handy (I keep mine on the side of the fridge one floor up). Recommended. ... show more

  • Put My Mind at Ease
Color: White
I was concerned that my refrigerator and freezer weren’t keeping the correct temperature. This put my mind at ease. It reads the temperature quickly. I would have taken a star away because the instructions for setting min and max and alarms was hard to understand. However, I am giving them 5 stars anyway because the seller had very good communication when I asked for help with the instructions. Their English is not the best, but they are friendly and really try to help. The wireless feature works flawlessly. I am impressed. The sensors are in a closed, metal refrigerator and yet they maintain contact with the base continuously - three rooms away from the kitchen! I am very impressed by that. ... show more

  • Great while it worked.
Color: White
Did what it was supposed to do for 18 months. Then the audible alarm broke because of a flimsy wire that broke off inside. It still reads temperatures, but without the alarm function it is rendered useless for me.

  • Monitor Your Temperature

Great Product. Have used with three refrigerators to monitor temperatures. My appliance service technician recommended that everyone should have this product. I check it every day. Has temperature range settings and alarms.
