  • Works like I expected.
Color: White
I was hesitant to try these fridge thermometers because of the mixed reviews. I am very familiar with the operation of these type of devices that communicate/pair with each other so I decided to give them a try. I bought two. Setting them up was easy and on the bench the temps read within 1 deg of all 3 sensors, the remotes and the base unit. I let them sit for a day. They were near other temp devices of a different Brand name. All worked perfect. Installed one in my shop fridge and it has been operational for a week and I see no anomolies. The other one I installed in my Camper, one sensor in the Lithium battery compartment and the other exposed to protected from moisture outside air. Working perfect. The display is a bit dim in low light like others have said. That is ok with me. The other MFG's thermometers that I have are the same way, maybe not quite as dim. The Magnets hold the base unit quite well I currently have 5 other MFG thermometers running around our home and property. I do not use the alarms on any of them. I do pay attention to the base units. Battery install sequence. Go to a place away from any other devices that communicate like these units. 50' away is enough. Check your battery voltages before installing them. 1.6+ volts! If not get another. I use good alkaline batteries like Duracell etc. Never have had an issue with the freezer section of my fridges and freezers. Batteries into the base unit first. Check that the display is on. Install batteries in one sensor. Within about 2 seconds the red led should flash. The Base unit should display the temp of that sensor. If it does not... Remove the batteries from both and wait about 30 seconds and repeat the sequence. If all is ok then do the other sensor. I will return and re-review if I have an issue with these units. I like the price! Ok, 1.5 years and they both are working great. I did replace the batteries in one unit but the other batteries are still good. One unit is for the fridge and freezer and the other is in my motorhome. One sensor is for the battery compartment and the other is in the gray/black tank area. Jim. ... show more

  • A MUST for RVers
Color: Grey
VERY practical! I use this for monitoring my RV refrigerator. Keeps me informed about the inside temperature, both the refrigerator section and freezer section, without opening the door! Be sure to position the sensors so there's no chance of water getting to the sensors! Works perfectly, shows the temperature of wherever the display unit is also! You can place the display unit inside your camper and monitor the inside temp or you can place the display unit on a outdoor table to display the outdoor temp! ... show more

  • Works Well But Alarm Could Be Louder
Color: White
Updated Review: The sellers responded promptly with instructions on how to fix the problem. The main issue is that it takes 30 minutes or more after initial set up for the sensors to register with the main unit. Also, it takes quite a while for the sensors to get down to the right temperature- significantly longer than a normal refrigerator thermometer. But given time, the readings seem pretty accurate. I'm taking off one star because this info should have been in the instructions- I shouldn't have had to contact the seller. Also, the alarm could be louder. I'm using it in a basement freezer and I can hear it faintly in some rooms of the main house, but not others. I think it will do, but am puzzled about why they don't make these freezer alarms louder. After all, if you are purchasing a freezer alarm, it's probably to use in your garage or basement. You don't really need one in your kitchen fridge as you can tell when the power is out. ************************** Original Review: I just received this product today and neither sensor works at all. I contacted the seller for help, and will update this review if the problem is fixed. ... show more

  • Saved my butt 2x in the first 2 days
Color: Black
I've had this for only 2 days and it saved me twice already! I highly recommend it! I've been monitoring the temperature against a manual thermometer and it's spot on too. How did it save me twice? Once I set the temperature wrong on a full upright freezer full of food and got an alarm overnight to go fix it. The second time happened today while we weren't home since this unit captures maximum temperature. I don't know how long my smaller freezer has been completely defrosting in the middle of the day, but this just alerted me to the problem (showing the max temp of my freezer at 51 degrees) so we know now that we need to toss all that food and stop using the freezer. We would have never known otherwise since the food was completely re-frozen when we got home but after further inspection you can tell it's melted and re-frozen into blocks. This unit is mounted on our fridge inside and monitors my freezers in the garage too. I was surprised that it works that far away. ... show more

  • Smaller than expected, but range is good and it gets the job done
Color: White
UPDATE (12/6/2020): have barely had this unit 2 weeks (purchased 11/20/20) and now one of the sensors constantly blinks 3 dashes every few seconds, and then a temp readout. Batteries are new. Will attempt to send unit back as it is clearly defective, but I threw away the box. We'll see what happens... Picked this up to monitor temps in a basement chest freezer. Main unit is kept one floor up in a timber-built home (there is an unfinished basement ceiling separating the two floors). Range seems solid - transmitters are able to report to the main unit through the steel freezer, one floor up. Total distance is less than 30 feet of separation. Accuracy seems good, though I have not tested these against a professionally calibrated control thermometer. Displays are somewhat easy to read - there is no backlight option. I placed both wireless thermometers in my freezer to see how close they'd read from one another - they seem to be < +/- 1 degree from one another, which is a very good thing for something so affordable. Using these did allow me to realize my chest freezer was NOT safely keeping food at 0F or below (recommended by the USDA), so I cranked up my freezer control to just below the highest setting to achieve a consistent -3F within 24 hours. More disappointed in my chest freezer (which I only bought 6 months ago) than these wireless thermometers! Overall, these are a very good deal for the price being asked. Are they super basic? Yes. Is the build quality top notch? No. But it's not like these are being thrown around. If I had any complaint, it's that the main display is smaller than I expected. Still, I'll keep them. Magnets on rear of main unit are very handy (I keep mine on the side of the fridge one floor up). Recommended. ... show more

Color: White
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 Stars: Great product with a minor issue) I purchased the ORIA Refrigerator Thermometer with high hopes of keeping track of temperatures in both my refrigerator and freezer. Overall, it has been a valuable addition to my kitchen, but I encountered a small problem with one of the sensors. Despite the issue with one of the sensors, the other sensor and the main unit are still working flawlessly. • It works but don’t expect too much more.
Color: White
I’ve been using the temperature monitor for a week now and my most helpful comment is that it works but don’t expect too much more than that. I am using the unit to monitor temperature in two separate chest freezers. The freezers are in our basement with the base unit attached to our refrigerator. First, the instructions are very hard to read because the print is extremely fine. The instructions definitely do not meet ADA guidelines for readability. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the instructions since I cannot read them. Other reviewers do complain about the quality of the instructions so I will let the reader refer to other reviews for comments. I did find valuable help on YouTube that explains how to setup the limits. I installed new batteries in the base unit and sensors. The unit came to life with temperature readings on both channels. Right away I noticed the display was not very bright. To have good contrast I had to turn the base unit so that ambient light bounced off the display giving me good contrast. With the base unit installed on the refrigerator I have to stand and position myself right in front of the unit to achieve readable contrast. I have a battery operated atomic clock that uses a similar LCD display, that can be read across the room, that has no issues with contrast until it’s batteries start to fail. My freezers are set to -5F and this temperature is verified using an analog thermometer. The digital temperature monitoring unit homes in around -7F. Watching the base unit for a week I notice that the display temperature wanders from -11F to -2F. The analog thermometer rarely moves from the -5F set point. While this temperature display wondering might be a concern in a laboratory environment my home is hardly a laboratory. My purpose in buying this temperature monitoring unit is to alert me to when my freezers are getting too warm signaling a potential failure with subsequent food spoilage. My alarm limits are set to +10F. This is well below freezing but warm enough to alert me to a potential problem. So far there have been no false alarms. I was a little concerned about signal transmission by putting the remote units within the closed freezer but other reviewers reported no issues doing that. So far there has been no issues for me either. Freezer #1 is directly below the base unit which puts it about 8 feet away. Freezer #2 is about 30 feet away from the base unit with no apparent issue there either. Some reviewers have stated that the audible alarm is not very loud. I guess I’m lucky because the unit I have, while not being a fire siren, is amply loud to get my attention. I have a hearing impairment and have no problem hearing this unit at least 20 feet away. The base unit is roughly located in the middle of the house meaning that someone is usually near enough to hear it. My biggest disappointment are the instructions. They might be complete but are impossible for me and my wife to read. Right now the temperature monitoring unit is performing the task I bought it for, I hope the durability of this unit holds up. ... show more

I had a package of batteries and half of them were completely dead and the others were fine, I checked the batteries with my voltmeter and they were good, but I should have checked all of them.
