Description

The Orbit Garden EnforcerMotion-activated Sprinkler features a height- adjustable tripod that adapts to your growing garden and landscape. A powerful combination of spray, motion and noise not only acts as a deterrent to scare off animals, but also conditions them to stay away from the enforced area. The heat and motion-activated sensor detects movement from up to 40 feet away and triggers the valve to spray a burst of water. The tripod adjusts from 28 to 54 inches, perfect for guarding growing gardens. The dual-purpose sprinkler also has a timed watering feature that allows you to water your garden 30 minutes at a time. Other pest and animal repellent methods simply do not provide the same level of simplicity and control: fences are expensive; netting is inconvenient; and repellent wears off and is harmful to you. Keep deer away from vegetable gardens, cats out of flowerbeds, birds from strawberry patches and ponds, and dogs away from lawns without the use of harmful methods: Don't hurt em, just squirt em.

  • Enthusiastic four stars for scaring off white-tailed deer
Style: Garden Enforcer Pattern Name: Sprinkler
Why enthusiastic? Because it absolutely keeps the deer out of my garden. Without fail. And because the build quality is excellent. Why only four stars then? Because adjusting it properly is tricky, and the directional adjustments could be better. A lot better. As stated, this thing keeps the deer out of a garden that many deer used to consider their favorite salad bar. And these are aggressive, not afraid of much, borne and raised in the suburbs deer, not skittish forest deer. At it scares them off every time. The problems are in the implementation. First, you don't want it set so sensitively that your plants are getting wet every time a gust of wind blows. So you've got to back down on the sensitivity (using the knob). Which can be done, but requires many repetitions of turn off the water, turn the sensitivity knob, turn the water back on, approach the protected area, observe sensitivity, repeat. You're going to get wet doing this. This same process is required for the setting the distance it sprays. Again, you're probably going to get sprayed doing that too. Goes with the territory, I suppose. Second, the little clips for setting that side-to-side arc that it sprays was not easily adapted to my application where I wanted a tight 60 degree arch. I had to rig up some paper clips held the to post with a rubber band, with a bent piece of the clip protruding so that it engaged the trip mechanism at one side of the arch, to get the mechanism to trip at the proper place. This may not be an issue for everyone. In my case it mattered because on one edge is a picture window of my house (looking out at the garden, that I didn't want sprayed) and the other edge is a sidewalk along the garden (didn't want people sprayed). This is an area where the product could be easily improved by the manufacturer, but bent paper clips and a rubber band is a reliable, makeshift solution. All in all, now that it's adjusted correctly, and spraying where I want it, when I want it, and where I want it, it's awesome. Reliable and effective. But getting there was - for me at least - a bit of a PITA. ... show more

  • Absolutely Brilliant!
Style: Garden Enforcer Pattern Name: Sprinkler
I was skeptical but somewhat desperate when purchasing this product. Much to my amazement, amusement & delight, it WORKS! I have a love/hate relationship with the deer that come by on a regular basis. I like watching them and I don't mind at all if they're in the clearing just beyond the backyard (3+ acres of forest) but when Bucky comes through and mows down my hydrangeas & my beautiful David Austin Rose bush... well, that's where the "buck" stops & the love ends. I planted wildflowers away from the yard & gave them water this summer when we had blistering temps so it's not like I don't care. I know, I know, stop naming them, talking to them and attracting them to the area but they're always around anyway, it's not like I'm intentionally luring them by planting dessert like foilage... this certainly isn't an open "all you can eat" buffet style secret garden by any means. That said, Bucky, Thumbalina, Wilma & Pebbles DO NOT LIKE THE Garden Enforcer! I can't believe how well it works at detouring them from the backyard, I'm truly impressed. They've figured out the water/sprinkler boundaries and are staying out of the backyard and now keep themselves to the outer perimeter and I'm happy with that! Have I forgotten to shut it off or thought I was walking out of range and gotten blasted with the water myself? Hell yes! Does it make me laugh? yes! Is this a product that actually works, brings amusement and detours the deer from eating my roses, yes! Would I purchase again? Absolutely. Recommend to others? Definitely! Do I wish it worked on garden snakes as well? Yep, sure wish it did! You have no idea how many times my neighbor has heard me scream and curse at the at the top of my lungs. ... show more

  • Very effective glad we bought it.
Style: Garden Enforcer Pattern Name: Sprinkler
Has really helped our new hedge row from being eaten. Kinda bought this with a will try anything mentality. From day one this has been like a guard on duty. We have tons of deer and they have totally changed their route through our yard. Now we have had quite a few laughs as deer approach the area and fall over each other and themselves getting out of the way. My neighbors have tried the spray on repellent but say it only works until it rains. This guy does the job wet or dry out and we are really glad we bought it. My neighbor is getting one now seeing our results. ... show more

  • Keeps Animals Away
Style: Garden Enforcer Pattern Name: Sprinkler
We live in a wooded area and have frequent issues with bears getting into the trash and generally going places they shouldn't. We've tried hazing them with lights, sound, masking odors... all with no effect. Put this sprinkler right in front of the trashcans and within a week, here comes Beary Potter, looking for a midnight snack. He gets about 15' away and just as advertised, the sprinkler detects his heat and movement, and sprays him with a stream of water. He backs off, thinks about it, moves forward and gets it again. This time, he's had enough and heads for the next house. Other things I like about this sprinkler.... it's super-easy to set the timer so that it only goes off for a few seconds... you can easily adjust the length and direction of the spray.... and, you can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection. One thing I had to learn is to keep a long stick, or pole around to turn the spray away from me before going over to turn the unit off. ... show more

  • This IS the answer.
Style: Garden Enforcer Pattern Name: Sprinkler
This is the only thing we have found that keeps our neighborhood deer from munching our oak leaf hydrangea to the ground. I don’t put my delicate plants in full view of the deer (hey, they were here first, and it’s bad form to taunt them), and the deer have to go through a lot to get within nibbling range, but they do, and the result is just tragic. Bottom line? This is the best solution to create an obnoxious environment where the deer just say “naw, man, imma go next door and eat all the other plants.” WIN. ... show more
