Description

The Easy Set Logic indoor/outdoor sprinkler timer/controller is the logical timer of choice for residential sprinkler systems with up to 12 zones/stations. This timer is engineered for installation in an indoor or outdoor location. It has a locking door with two keys and the display is mounted on a swing panel which allows you to easily access the wiring. It can power a pump start relay and one valve solenoid at the same time. The A, B and C program slots allow you to set up to three unique watering schedules tailored to different types of zones in the yard. Each program has space for four different start times which allows you to create cycle and soak windows that encourage water infiltration into the soil. The Easy Set Logic sprinkler timer will automatically “stack” overlapping runtimes from different programs so that only one solenoid is running at any given time. The manual run feature allows you to run one zone, select zones, or all zones for a specified length of time, which is very convenient for zone testing or supplemental watering. It has a rain delay feature at the timer which allows you to skip watering of zones for a configurable time when Mother Nature is taking care of the watering, and a relay switch for adding an automatic rain and freeze sensor (sold separately). Installation is as simple as mounting the timer on the wall, putting the common wire (typically white wire) in the C terminal and the individual zone wires in each of the numbered station terminals, plugging in the power cord, and setting the schedules. Push wire terminals allow for tool- less insertion and removal of the wires. The recommended standard sprinkler wire for this timer is 18-guage thickness with 5 or 7 strands/wires.

  • Delivered quick, worked easier than expected
Size: 6-Station Pattern Name: Timer
Yesterday I went to adjust my sprinkler timers, but the stupid 30 year old plastic handle snapped on me -- perfect time to learn that one of my heads was busted. I fumbled with a screwdriver to turn the damn thing off before the geyser flooded my neighbors too hard, then I ordered this, somewhere around 2pm. By 830ish pm this timer was on my front porch. I opened it up and had a pretty decent idea of what I was doing just from opening the face and looking at it. This morning, I woke up to my stupid geyser flowing again. Neighbors yard is okay due to the blind luck of a slight angle of their driveway dumping all my water into the gutter...it's the little things, right? I went outside and turned the damn thing off around 615am. Around 715 I go outside and get a picture of the old wiring harness rig, and unplugged the damn thing. While I DID have about 20 min of confusion with the reconnecting the wires, as it turned out the problem was that whichever moron installed the old watering system actually put in the wiring harness label sticker upside-down, so what LOOKED like the power-in was actually the comm line. Once I realized this, I had the thing running in 10-15 seconds. 30s later I had figured out which of my two leads was connected to the broken head (currently unplugged while I figure out what brand I need to fit the current system...) and the other section of the system was ready to rock. I guess it's time to head to Lowes and find a guru ... show more

  • Very happy with purchase
Size: 4-Station Pattern Name: Timer
After our Rain Bird timer finally gave out after close to 20 years, I decided to try this unit and am very glad I did. My husband said this was very easy to install. The most difficult part, which is certainly not going to apply to most people, was when he needed to add an additional hole in our outside wall by using a diamond bit to drill through. I like that this timer has both a door, which we need due to excessive heat here in the desert, and also a lock, to keep my gardener away from changing my schedule. Everything is so far so good and programming was simple and very similar to the Rain Bird. In comparison to other timers, this was very well priced and one of the best house purchases I've made recently! ... show more

  • Good controller less wire friction connections
Size: 12-Station Pattern Name: Timer
Got this to replace a 20yr old Toro Lawn Master that served me well. Installation is straight forward and pretty self explanatory. No need to utilize the instructions for the DIY person. Check out went good with all 11 of my zones working properly. Only complaint is the mickey-mouse friction clamps that hold all wiring in place. I prefer a screw-down block where I can see the contact points and clamp up. Orbit uses a friction process where you have to hold back a spring loaded button and insert wire into a hole. You have no idea how much of the wire is actually making contact inside the board? It’s a must to tug on each wire to ensure it does not slip out easily in case sufficient contact was not made. Time will tell how well this works and if anything oxidizes at connection points? Would have given this 5 stars had the wire connection points been screw down vs friction pressure. ... show more

  • Wiring restriction
Size: 12-Station Pattern Name: Timer
This unit gives me the ease on the eyes with it's large screen. I had to discard my old Rain Bird 506 and learn to use this. Made a few mistakes along the way, but worked it out. Still have two problems and only solved the first one. This unit will NOT function with strand wiring. It will only work smoothly with solid copper. So I had to create a junction box to wire solid to the existing strand wiring (because some wiring is over 100 feet away underground). Others were above ground or under 100 feet and I just replaced with solid. Still got one failing unit and tested for continuity (good results), yet fails. So not giving it a five star yet. Miss my old Rain Bird 506. ... show more
