These last a few years or summers with light use. Don't hurl it to the ground when you're done using it or it could break. The only reason my last one broke is because they landscapers abused it so the top cracked. I had another go bad because I left it outside when the temp dipped below zero and it the frozen water cracked it. It's not indestructible. so you use common sense and it will last a long time. There are many fun settings for the water when you rotate the turret. It's great for watering the garden, washing the car, or washing stuff outside in the driveway. ... show more

Customer service fromOrbit is horrible.I left one of the 2 wands i purchade last fall out through a hard freeze and one of the valvs was damaged by the weather. I contacted Orbit trying to buy a replacement for theValve that leaked after the freeze. their response was such a pain that i gave up.

I gave it a 4 star rating due to the fact it has not had time to "prove" itself. Overall I like it. The adjustable head angle is a plus. The various spray patterns are another plus. I would like it much better if it was 36", instead of 30", long. It has a latch to keep the lever-trigger locked open/on. It seems to be reasonably made. I was really looking forward to the volume control, especially for watering the vegetables. It doesn't offer a lot of control. To actually control the water volume/power I have to set the water output at the faucet - otherwise the power of the output (even using the "shower" option) washes away the dirt surrounding the plants. I would buy this again, but would probably look for a longer, 36" wand. ... show more

The watering wand is very easy to use. In the desert I'm always watering something. It has held up very well and even with my arthritis is easy to hold. I just wish the length was adjustable and had fewer watering patterns. Lots of turning to get to the pattern I want and find myself only using the same 3 or 4 all the time. Shorter length would help for smaller plants in pots. That said it works very well for my watering needs ... show more
