    • Two 1tb hdd dead on arrival
Two of the 1tb hdds were unresponsive after formating on the dvr. Tried repairing on PC. Its hardware issue. Had to buy ssd for another $80.

    • No monthly fee, great visual quality
To be fair I did not install this myself,so I can't say much to that, but I will speak to the video quality and effectiveness so far. The 5.0 mega pixel HD feed is good enough for me and I can't imagine wanting much more than that because I can zoom in on almost everything I want to see and still get good clarity on faces and license plates. But, my favorite part is that I don't have to pay any ridiculous monthly fees to keep something I have already paid for. 8/10 I would recommend it. I hope this review is helpful. ... show more

    • Doesn't do completely what it says.
My husband and I bought this system for our business. The things that we were looking for most in a security system was easy. We needed about 6 to 8 camaras, decent picture, and wanted to get alerts on our phone of motion detection. I'm giving 2 stars only because the picture quality was actually decent. Now to the things that made us decide to get our money back and just buy one like we had at home... * Couldn't ever set up to get notifications on our phones through the app like it said you could. Tried everything that we could even think of even tried to call customer support... You know the 24/7 like it says... yeah no... couldn't get through and had to leave a message a few times. Just got a call back from them today after deciding we were done waiting to hear back. *That leads me to 2... Customer service was rude and didn't seem to care at all that I was just going to return it and then ended up hanging up on me when I told her that I was upset because of the issues that we had. *Now for the kicker that they don't tell you AT ALL... You only get 15 days and only 2 camaras will record. Then you have to pay for each individual camara if you want them to record anything. One camara they will give you a deal for 30 dollars a year... but the other 5... well I'm sure you see where I'm going with this. To end this... My husband and I just started our own business. We have a large family. Yes you get what you paid for but they need to be upfront about everything from the start. We decided to just go with what we have in our home and paid an extra couple hundred bucks... So if you are looking at buying this please remember it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles that they say... ... show more

    • Good image quality, app controls need improvement
The quality of the image on these cameras is very good. They are easy to install. The plugs are a pretty standard design so the equipment might be compatible with other camera systems. I'm not a fan of the user interface on the app. I wasn't able to find a way to set boundaries, adjust sensitivity for motion sensing, or a lot of the basic things that can be done on many other systems. Maybe those settings can be adjusted more easily using the desktop view, but I didn't have a monitor handy to spare for this system so I have not yet tried that. ... show more

. I like the set as a whole. I specifically wanted a wired system. It is not a spread out coverage, mainly thwo large, connected rooms for coming and going. Wired is important to me. I wire everything that should be. No possibilities of interception in business critical locations that need to be monitored. Besides - Why scatter RF all over the place if it's not necessary? Overall GREAT quality, clear imaging, pro looking - as a set these are a very good value to me. ... show more
