Have had this island for a few weeks and it has worked so well. All the hardware is high quality and feels sturdy. The leaf is by far the best part of this island. The hinges click onto place and hold it flat even under weight. The flexibility is great to have extra counter space when needed, and extra walking space otherwise. Assembly took slightly more than expected, but the instructions were clear. The step to attach the benchtop to the cabinets would have been a lot easier with a ratchet but we did not have one. We read a lot of reviews before finally picking this island and crossing our fingers. The box was pretty heavy but everything was packed nicely. The instructions were easy to follow and despite a lot of screws and bolts, the directions were VERY easy to follow. My husband and I assembled it completely in about 2 hours. The wheels are very solid. The wood is mediocre, nice looking, but definitely getting what you pay for (not in a bad way, just don't expect high end oak cabinetry!). The appearance was perfect. The snapping top works perfectly and the drawers and cabinet doors are great. Zero complaints. We love our new extension of our counter-top and flexible rolling island! ... show more

I love the fold down leaf, the wooden top surface and the mobility of the cart - those features all suit my needs. The cart was a bit challenging for me to assemble, but I managed to get it all put together. I discovered that if the floor is not completely level, the center wheel is actually not helpful for stabilizing the cart. When I rolled the center wheel over a high spot, the cart became very wobbly and it felt like it was going to tip over. Removing the center wheel solved the problem. First off, I'm incredibly happy with this purchase. Since you're probably wondering, yes the finished product really does look as good as the official pictures. I got this to complement my small kitchen and now I couldn't imagine the space without it. I use the shelves to store pots, pans, and small appliances. I use the drawers to store all of my glass food storage containers. And the towel racks are a lifesaver. Now, while I give this product 5 stars and I'm deeply impressed at the quality for the price, I feel I should still mention the shortcomings. First, the directions understate how long this takes to put together. My father and I are both reasonably handy and it took us almost 6 hours to finish this together. You might be able to rush through it faster, but we took the time to try and get everything secure and aligned properly. Many of the fasteners seemed a bit flimsy. Also, while it says its MDF, it looks to me like its made of particle board. I had my doubts about the sturdiness of this while putting it together, but the finished product seems very solid and I expect it to last for many years. The top also thankfully really is solid wood and provides a great surface to work and eat on. I use this as my dining table as well as a food prep surface as my place is quite small. It works well for both as it comfortably has room for two stools. Initially the island seemed unsteady and felt like I might topple it over when resting an arm with some body weight on the fold-out section. My solution was to put some weight plates at the bottom of the cabinets, and to store my cast iron pans in there. This worked wonderfully as I can really lean on the fold-out section and it still feels solid and stable. An extra hundred pounds or so down near the bottom of the unit really made all the difference. Overall i really love this item. I was surprised the quality of this. It seems durable for the cost. It looks like the pictures and is a good size. I was worried the cupboards wouldn't be wide enough for bigger items like my crock pot but they are. It was moderately easy to put together myself but i did have to watch the assembly video as I think some of the pictures in the instructions were a little unclear. So im glad there was a video that made it easy. I received all parts and nothing was damaged. The only 2 things I would change is the top drawers don't pull out that far so it's hard to see what is in back and the single towel rod isn't really removable. I wanted to use the single rod for paper towels but it doesn't come out once it's in really. ... show more

A beautiful kitchen island but a little difficult to put together! All parts were in the box. My husband put it together and it took him eleven hours in two days! He is a senior and I don't think that I could have put it together. The flip top makes the cabinet a little top heavy! Just be aware of this when putting items on the flip top as it may tip tip (be careful with small children). I suggest to put some barre in the middle of the folding part as a support! ... show more

Really nice and has some nice extras too. Like back wall has reinforcement clips so it doesn’t pop out. Instructions are pretty good except for door slides. Put them in backwards but no problem to fix. Takes about 4-5 hrs to assemble if your handy. If you are not a DIY person it will be hard to assemble. ... show more

🙂 Very Happy about this buy, took my husband about 2 and half hours . It was the closest to the match I could get to our cabinets, and just size wise to fit our kitchen.
