Never playing pickleball before I didn't know what kind of equipment to get. It was recommended to check out this paddle as a beginner. I can say I am not disappointed. I know there are many flavors, options and price points, so I wasn't sure what to get. I and others in my family have played now a couple of dozen times. The handle is very comfortable, the quality seems solid, the weight lightweight. So my initial findings are that this is worth it and great for a beginning family like mine. This is one of the best pickleball paddles on the market. I have used others, but like this one best. Since getting this one, 3 other players have tried it, liked it, and bought the same paddle, albeit some in different colors. It strikes the ball really well and does not require as much effort on the players part. I love the widebody style as I feel it allow me to strike some balls I would otherwise have missed, plus it seems to have a greater "sweet" spot. This is my 2nd one of these - got 5 years out of the first one before it started to lose some pop and surface texture playing 3-5 days a week for 2 hours or so - massive sweet spot and legendary pop - still leaves them swinging at thin air when you nail it on center and by them - it's a heavy paddle so not for lighweights ... show more

I replaced my first cheapie paddle after a week and loved this baby from the first shot! It is LOUD if you're a banger (which I used to be), but after a few YouTube video lessons I learned that control is the key to success. I improved quickly with this new paddle and the sound is only a concern when I put away an overhead smash now. I am a former table-tennis ace, and have been able to adapt quickly because the spin I can generate with this paddle is befuddling to my fellow newbies. I'm moving up to intermediate play and don't feel any need to upgrade further at this point! ... show more
