Some may be against it but i find his hair grows more beautiful and it helps keep the knots away . My collie i did at a 18 and yes it took about 1 hr and 1/2 but its worth it Youll have to like grab the hair and kinda cut it then eventually youll go back and fourth and their hair will be soft and even I know some people say its not worth it but come on , 70-80 bucks at petco for one haircut or 50 bucks for this . It works fine . Make sure u put oil on the point it asks u too . Its easy to pop on and off the blade to clean it just make sure u put it on thr settling The scissors worth great Sharp asf ! I just got this tonight & I couldn't wait to use it on my baby Marley Sue. 2 nights ago, I used a clipper set that I've had for way too long. It got hot & all I got done in like an hour(after taking breaks for it to cool) was her mid body section. Between the heat & the time it was taking, I looked on Amazon & found this oneisall grooming set. After reading reviews, I decided to give it a try. Oh my gosh y'all. I'm by no means a dog groomer but this set has everything you need. It actually came charged enough to finish her clip. And it NEVER got hot!! And it is super quiet. The vibration level is so minimal. And for the little hair bits by her eyes, the scissors clipped that with no problem. I will say however, on some of the reviews I read prior to purchasing mentioned snagging. I did experience that also. However. Used these on our small dog and children. Our dog has soft hair and does not like the sound of trimmers. Our children can not sit still at the barbers and tend to shy away from clippers as they are approached by one. Great success of keeping the pup still and not anxious using these. Very good success using the clippers on the small kiddos. There was no jerking of the head when the clippers were being used. The sound is very low. I was successful in both of the trimmers used. Using on a cat that gets matted hair in winter. We brush her but she still gets mats. Takes some practice to get it to work properly, but once learned it works just fine. Trimmed a good size tight mat from her belly the other day. Cat did not mind at all once I did it properly. The low amount of sound does not scare our cat in the least. I can turn the trimmer on and hold it to her body and there is no panic or issue. Had a hard time getting it to work, then once I found the proper way to align and move the cutter, it slipped right between skin and mat and no more problem. First I was working alone with cat on her back in my lap, she did not like that position much and I was having a hard time. Had my partner hold the cat upright, as if standing on her rear feet. That made it easy to trim the belly. It takes some trust that the cutter is not going to damage the cat's skin. Think the cat was pleased to have the mat removed as it appeared to be pulling her skin. No more vet trips just for a trim, vet will be happy about this also. ... show more

I've got an old lady dog (bichon but a coat more like a maltese) who is extremely anxious and so not only am I the only one who can trim her, it's a nightmare to do so. A coworker recommended these to me because they're low noise and can be cordless. Absolutely love it. Easy to use, long battery life, and grumpy old lady is a lot less likely to book it before we're even 1/3 done. Doesn't look like a pro groomed her, but at least she's trimmed rather than matting and I can keep the endless growth dog hair from being a major issue. I'm thrilled with this clipper. It's better than the more expensive ones I've been using that are plug in only. The noise level is so low (a VERY good thing); it doesn't heat up like my other clippers, the charge lasts a LONG time and when I plug in to charge, it's fast and easy. I wish I'd known about this product years ago! I have 7 dogs that all require some kind of grooming and this is the best tool I've found. The price couldn't be better.
