It paid for itself in one use. I used it in conjunction with the OMT 21pc Master Ball Joint Press Set (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBF1R6Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to replace both front lower ball joints on my 2500HD. The cost of both items was significantly cheaper than paying a service shop to do the job. This C-frame Press is a must for GM HD lowers, as the press in the 21pc kit is too small.

this is one powerful tool. it weighs in at around 15 pounds and is made of thick steel. this will get those balljoints out no questions asked! box was falling apart when it arrived, but its to be expected because thing thing is HEAVY. worked great on all the projects ive used it for so far.

As a professional automotive technician, I have replaced a lot of ball joints with a traditional ball joint press. Up until now I have always used an OTC ball joint press. Sometimes you discover that the press is too small for some applications once you get your proper adapters set up. That is where this large press comes in handy. The Orion Motor Tech press comes packaged in a foam "tray" inside of a cardboard box. I really wish they would have included a plastic case but oh well. The press includes 2 different length screws as well. The press is very heavy and seems extremely well made with a very durable textured finish. The threads are almost identical to the OTC but is a little loose so I wouldn't interchange them if you own one. The press adapters from the OTC kit fit the Orion press so this works as an excellent addition to an existing traditional kit. As you can see in the picture I provided, the Orion press has nearly 9" of inside spacing end to end as opposed to the OTC at 6.5". This is an absolute necessity if you do any amount of suspension work but the uses for this tool are endless. It can also be used for U-joint replacements, wheel stud removal and installation and many other "press" jobs. I am very impressed with the quality of this unit and give it 5 stars all day long. If by chance my opinion changes I will be sure to update.

The Orion Motor Tech ball joint press is made in PRC (china). I can say that is a heavy duty press with a large opening (9 inches). My last ball joint job was with a smaller press that made for a lot of work. I ordered this so next time we will have the working room needed when working with full ton pickup front ends. It's a bit of money to have for a specific tool, but the right tool makes the job easy. 5 stars

Solid heavy material but I do feel that with the simplicity of the tool and the fact that no adapters or tubes come with it, the price could be a little lower. However I'm sure this is catered more to those that have the proper kit and need more inner space. Like I will when I do mine! Great tool to have!
