  • It is better than some of the other cast iron sleeve style puller
Style: Tool Set
It will work. Not the best but you didn't pay for the best... If you have to put a great deal of torque on it to remove a pulley you better make sure you are straight and aligned properly BEFORE you give it the full trail... As long as you won't use this more than 6 times every 2 years- by then you'd want the better tools. 30 year mechanic talking BTW ... show more

  • The pulleys on these pumps are extremely tight
Style: Tool Set
The tool is easier to use getting the pump pulley off. Putting the pulley on the part that screws into the pump shaft keeps loosening. This tool is made well as the other ones I’ve used. I think the shaft needs to be held so it won’t turn (I’m not sure how though). I only bought for one time use when replacing my power steering pump. Luckily the old pulley wasn’t as tight fitting as the new one so I reused the old pulley, also the original pulley is bigger diameter. FYI when I originally took the old pulley off a while ago I went to pep boys to borrow this same type of tool and it took about 4 people at the parts counter holding and turning with all their strength. ... show more

  • Worked okay but bent and will not be useable after one use.
Style: Tool Set
Tool bent while removing power steering pump pulley so I can no longer use it for removal. Still haven't been able to get the pulley back on all the way but this may not have much to do with the tool. I find that after a certain point the tool just spins inside my wrench which then turns the psp shaft and makes it impossible to tighten further. It's an okay tool and it costs about the same as renting one from the auto parts store so why not just buy yourself one? ... show more

  • Needs more how to use instructions.
Style: Tool Set
I know case uses are very wide, but a bit more information would be helpful. I did eventually utilize this product with success but only after extensively incorrect.

  • Cool Tool
Style: Tool Set
I swapped out my power steering pump this weekend. I pump and pulley that has been on this truck since 1996. It took some grunting, and some hard turning, but I got it swapped out and the tool did it's job perfectly. Now, I will probably never have to use it again!

  • Sturdiness.
Style: Tool Set
If you need this tool, this is a good one. I've used it and it does the job well. Made from good steel and well machined. Bought a different brand previously and the threads were crossthreaded and didn't work worth a flip. I returned it and bought this one and love it.

  • No instruction for setup had to see youtube video to set up.
Style: Tool Set
No instructions at all, does not fit flush to pump shaft wobbily
