LOVE LOVE LOVE this set! This is white with black. I added the pic because there's a grey wave between the white and black (on the bowls), which I actually like better than what's shown on Amazon. They're stone, so not a true white or black, but again, I like it better. I've used them in the microwave, oven and put them in the dishwasher. They're thin, so they don't take too much space, and they're much lighter than past stone I've had. There are little black flecks that I keep trying to clean off (or pick up with my fork), but I'm sure I'll get used to them. Also, when I first unpacked the bowls, I was disappointed in the size. But no, they hold more than you'd think, they just have an uneven, wider lip that makes them seem small. Ordered my plate set a few weeks ago - after a long wait I finally get them in today and they are gorgeous but one large plate arrived broken. I submitted a request for replacement through the manufacturer. Hopefully they will replace this plate for me.

We replaced our 30 year old Corelle with this china. It's fairly light weight and beautifully glossy white. It does have a ridge on the bottom that collects water in the dishwasher. The ridge is smooth enough that you could stack these plates in the cupboard, but we chose to buy vertical storage for the plates. We initially bought 1 set to try and ended up buying a second once we knew we liked them. I may buy a third set! ... show more

I do love this set of dinnerware, but do have a word of caution if you plan on purchasing multiple sets. If you want multiple sets, you really should order them all at once. I first ordered 2 sets of service for 4 place settings of the “Gibson Elite Green Lantern Service for 4 (16 Piece) Double Bowl Dinnerware Set, Teal, Soft Gray, Dinnerware Set”. The first 2 sets arrived together very well packed in boxes with lovely color graphics on the boxes. I liked the dishes so much that I wanted to buy an extra set of 4 place settings, so I would have 12 of each in case some broke in the future. This third box came packed very well packed in a plain cardboard box, no color pictures, just information stamped on the box. It seemed that the third set was made in a different factory. The color of the bottom of the dinnerware of the third set is a lighter color (dark green) and the bottom of the first 2 sets is almost black. See photo of them stacked in the dishwasher for comparison. The color of tops of the dinnerware from all 3 sets are the same. I didn’t bother sending them back the third set because they are basically for backup. The dishes are very well packed for shipping (we live in a rural area, bumpy dirt roads, so I was impressed that no dishes arrived broken). Also, depending on your dishwasher, the dishes do take up more room in the dishwasher, but I’m okay with that. We’ve been using them for a month and no cut marks so far. As other people mentioned, they do get hot in the microwave, but that’s not un-manageable and food does look beautiful on them. ... show more

I got the blue plates. The color is very inaccurate. It’s like a grayish blue and not a green blue. People buy things to match with other things. So accurate color representation is important. The merchant should change the advertisements to better represent what people will receive. Extremely disappointing. I will give stars for the quality.
