Did not even damage the tie rod boot which did not matter to me since I was replacing the tie rod end anyway. Great product. Looks like it will last a long time. Tough forks. I used them to break my ball joints loose and pounded them with a hammer. They got the job done and took the abuse.

This is a good quality pickle fork set. The sizes are generally the most common that you will need. I have used them on tie rod ends, ball joints, and even on a couple pitman arms. However, I don't know how well they will hold up in the long run or under a very tough removal. On moderately stuck removals, I have mushroomed 2 of the striking ends of the forks. They don't seem like they will break, but the handles seem a little soft. Time will tell. ... show more

Works great for what I need. Not something I’ll need very often but they’re so inexpensive that if you think you’ll need it more than 2-3 times it’s worth picking up over taking the time to rent from the local part store. Took a bunch of whacks from a 3lb hammer without even showing any wear.
