I love this fryer. I love it enough that I've bought 3. One for myself and one each for my daughters and their families. First let me say, it's meant to be more commercial therefore does not have all the safety mumbo jumbo (ie detachable magnet cords, extra insulated sides etc). It's a simple fryer. It heats up quickly. It's easy to clean. I can put 4 small chicken thighs in at one time (2 if extra large). It will fry about 1 lb of french fries per drop with the basket. The basket hanging system on the fryer works great for letting the grease drain back into the pan. It's larger capacity than most of the comparable fryers so more oil capacity and less oil changes. To be honest ... I feel like it could use a larger basket but there does need to be some safety consideration since more basket might would allow the grease, if at the full mark and basket overloaded, get closer to the top. Both daughters use it for their fries, chicken etc ... and they also say it's the best deep fryer they've ever used and trust me we have been through a few! I actually prefer it over my large Propane King Cooker Fryers that I have in my shop. This one unless I'm doing very large batches of chicken works great. I can fry 10 lbs of chicken leg quarters (the cheap ones where I cut the drumsticks from the thighs) in about 2.5 hours total including grease heat up (20-30 minutes). This weekend I did use my T-fal Emeril cooker along with this one and was done in 1.5 hours. I recommend the T-fal as well but it is more difficult to clean and does not have as much oil capacity. Also ... not sure I'm allowed to say but the best chicken fryer breader I've ever used is the Lousiana Crispy Chicken Fry Seasoned. It says spicy ... but is not very spicy (my wife doesn't like spicy but she loves this). It's also available on Amazon. But use it just like the recipe says. I was going to be smart and used milk instead of cold water like the recipe called for .. thus the darker chicken. The prettier chicken is per the recipe with water.

Large. Works well. Needs a MINIMUM of an EMPTY 20a circuit to run both. If you're going to run this regularly, or for something like a food truck or pop-up, you're going to want to insulate the interior empty space where the wells live with something like non-flammable rockwool, not because of heat transfer to the shroud (it stays about 100° and is safe to the touch), but the inverse: the only real negative about this unit is that the recovery time for the fry set-temp after splashing a standard serving/order of dense frozen foods (commercial pub-style chicken breasts, for example) is pretty long unless you're using something like commercial fryer shortening with more thermal mass. I use peanut oil, and the dip was about 10° for about 3-5min, which in cooking terms is pretty long. Otherwise, this thing is pretty awesome. Yeah, it's *technically* portable, but then again, so is an inflatable hot-tub. Sure, you *can* put it away after every use, but you certainly won't want to, which means you certainly won't, period, so plan accordingly. Low cost things will still not be worth having if the hassle to use and own them outweigh the results they provide. All that said, I'm really pleasantly surprised by this unit...

So far, this has been an amazing fryer. I love that it has 2 bins, so when it is just our family, I only need one side. I can't wait for the time when I can fire both sides up for a big meal. It holds consistent temperature and is easy to take apart to clean. The oil pans are shaped well to be able to pour the oil out in one easy/accurate stream. I love this fryer so far, but I've only used it a couple of times...so we will see about longevity as we go!
