****Newest update Grill still going strong. Some small patches of rust on the top screw that holds in the flab to cover the vent, but, that's about it. Other facets of the grill are still performing well! This grill is one of the best values for the money and the strength of the overall materials is stellar! I am still happy years later(purchased Aug 2021!) If you want to get an update on the size of the grill top, well, you can place at least 8 tri-tips on it and almost 12 new york steaks on this beast. I am now calling this grill "The Beast". I recommend renaming it as it is truly a beast griller! DO NOT THINK TWICE about purchasing this exceptional grill/smoker. **** Review update So, using for now a month or so. Used it 4 times since receiving it, been stellar! One issue, the paint in some areas chipping off or peeling off exposing the raw metal. Not sure if this is going to be a problem but will report back if I see any rust at all. One possible fix is rust resistant paint but still debating on that. *First Original review Pros: Easy setup Parts are heavy duty Adjustable grill is great for less flare ups Placement of charcoal is exceptional. Cons(not many and not mechanical): Putting it together: Be sure to where gloves, it's a little greasy upon arrival so make sure you set it up on the cardboard it came with and grab some paper towels. Also watch the video on assembly while your doing it. This helps tremendously. When grilling the oil sometimes creeps on the lid and drips down on top edge of grill. Be sure to wipe. When done with grill be sure clean it with a nice wire brush and then spray the grill area with vegetable oil and let burn off. Seasoning is key to avoid rust. No rust yet but will report back if so. Keep it covered. I purchased the matching grill cover and it's easy to place back on the grill after you're finished. Grills are not easy to keep clean but do your best and it will last. If you are reading this it means you are considering buying this grill. If this grills size meets your needs, buy it! If someone stole it today, I’d have one on the way tomorrow. Thoughtfully set up, regulates heat well and seals well for a grill, not as well as a smoker. Heavy duty grill. Grill is on covered patio out of the weather. Been searching for a non pellet, non smoke box grill/smoker. And this Oklahoma Joe's grill, "The Judge" is more than A-1. It's beyond Elite. Assembly took less than an hour with 2 people. After completion Immediately seasoned the grill, and was ready to grill all within an hour. Huge cooking surface. Adjusting heat source tray, and ash pan tray equals the length and width of the grill. No ashey mess. There's a door to add coals or wood if needed, so no need to move grilling grates. If you do not like pellet grills like I don't, this Oklahoma Joe's "Judge" grill should be your next grill ! ... show more

After assembly and seasoning, which were both simple processes, I grilled a couple of great steaks. Delivery was on time and the seller called several times to make sure we were informed of arrival time. I bought the smoker box and haven't had an opportunity to use it for smoking but it makes an excellent hot box for searing a steak. This is a quality product and is engineered well. I like the ash bin and the easy adjustment on the charcoal height. Cast iron grates make an amazing difference in grilling. I expect to cook on " The Judge" for many years to come. ... show more

Quality built. Quality performance. Holds heat better than what we're used to. It is heavy, close to 200 lbs in the box. You're not gonna want to move it very far very often.

Solid, well made grill. Well worth the price. Plenty of cooking space. Only complaint is no handle on the opposite side of the wheels for moving it around. No handle at all in fact. Heat flows perfectly and cooks like a champ.
